Class suggestions for new player

Ok so I played this at launch and remember trying a Disciple or Khaine (because it was the only male Dark Elf option) and also a High Elf Swordmaster.

I’m coming back to the game now after AGES and looking for some suggestions as to what to play. I don’t like glass cannons so would prefer something more robust but which can still do some damage and so can level up solo. In PvP I prefer being able to support than be top of the kill list. So...all ideas welcome.
