I am trying to theory craft builds at work, and I for the life of me cannot remember what base critical chance and damage is. Nor can I find anything that says online or on the forums.

50% on crit damage and crit chance on hits in your body showed on initiative, thats all.

There's no base crit %, it's based on your opponent's initiative. I believe Bruglir's formulas are still used: " critical hit rates are affected by defenders initiative vs attackers rank, in the following way: (7.5*<attacker effective rank>+50)/<defender initiative>/10 "
(and then +/- any flat % modifiers)
Crit dmg is apparently a random increase of between 40-60%.
An as an aside, base heal crit is 10%.

rdps crit damage are 100%
melee 50%
heals 50%
base crit heals( it' not show on the tolltips) is 10%

Are you sure about that Tesq? I was told it was between 1.4-1.6x base dmg; maybe it only affects mobs though (which I'm certain of)? I thought I'd seen it vary in pvp but could be mistaken.

Unless it's changed in the last week or so since I last checked. The question is, does it currently work the same way for players as well?

idk if it got changed with some rng for what i know not ,maybe aza or anyother dev can give a better answer.
