Solo class what to pick?

IMHO just play whatever class you find to be the most fun. That is most important.

However that said if you are solo being a healer or tank may be less frustrating. A healer is always useful to have around and tanks are pretty solid in this game.

DPS can be very frustrating without a healer keeping you up or a tank guarding you.

You can use 40/70 to show off an ideal build, but it's not going to be achievable for a good while, and I'm pretty sure he wants something that's good right off the bat- er- acceptable- like most people- so you can't really use more than 25 points in your builds...with that in mind, the Shaman is a terrible choice...but we're getting off topic.

The two careers he was looking into were WH/WL...order.. one has stealth and the other has charge flee and pounce-

@OP ok so you should probably look up some PVP videos see what class has the most intricate mechanics; my exp as a healer is WL takes no skill to do its job and WH seem good but rather linear
BO 2h is on my radar someone posted something about it recently , and on that note maybe a tank dps or a healer dps would suite you
Edit: warhammer though to me isnt anything like the other mmo's i've played where individual skill can carry while a WH can backcap and solo a guy to win the game... you wont be an icon, its a team game oh and i hear that magus is great you can get some very nice tools, they are the least played class , alot of people think they are weak but i think they are a great asset

The amount of ignorance on this server about WLs is astounding
a good (solo) WL has to look after a lot of more things than a WH (pet manual micromanagement being n.1).
Ofc, if we talk about bad players, every class is on the same s***t boat, and that makes no real difference

@grimmASSa66 Not impossible for a Guardian-specced WL to beat a DoK (or at least it wasn't on AoR, can't say for sure how it is here atm in T4).

I remember the fun I had with my WL against DPS DOK. KD with Brutal Pounce to start with, then wait for him to get up and try launching Rend Soul since he is half dead, just to interrupt him with Echoing Roar and finish him... I miss my WL...

Have to admit, my favorite DPS to Guard has been pk's WL... A well played pouncy WL is awesome. Like most things though, it comes down to individual skill and preference. The only thing I dislike about WAR is how entirely different your class plays in different Tiers. So keep that in mind before you cast judgement.

Its quiet simple.
For order side best solo mdps with abbility to kill and run(hide) from zerg is WH.
Best dps tank is IB and also can 1v1 pretty well same as 1vX,but when You got caught by party/warband/zerg, you cant do anything.
As ranged dps definitely SW with ranged snare, ranged KD, self punt and so on.
If you want to be useful outside of your dps role, You can also pick Archmage, who can do healing and DPS roles pretty well.
WL is bursty, but only in Hunter/guardian spec with 10s frontload burst, if you miss your kill during this time, better charge away and kite by pet.

SW - cool rdd with range knock and pretty dps
DD WP - average dps with good heal
WH - like rogue in WoW, open->kill->run
DD AM - ofc top1 in solo pvp with many DOTs and slow abilities
i dont think that WL is good choose coz there are many DD Doks playing in destro side
