Get him Mayhem for his Sorc and not Ruin please. First hard PQ in Avelorn should be easy to farm.

Okay my reaction was a little intense, but this doesn't read like something that I'd feel okay being talked to like.

I just checked the Sorc and it's only missing the duelist body to be full set making ruin and even mayhem completely useless to farm.

Ruin is good if your renown rank is 0 but both your WE and Sorc have much better options.

For Sorc as I already wrote in another thread from you, Mayhem > Ruin. But you are very close to be full Duelist as you're only missing the body. Don't farm ruin as duelist > ruin.

For a WE devastator is actually "still" one of the possible end-game full sets, depending of playstyle and expectations. Devastator has a 25% heal debuff proc that beats nearly any other proc found on WE sets.

That's fine, I have no idea where to farm devastator, I haven't been playing this that long.
Sorc sure feels squishy in Duelist, and I get an awful lot of disrupts.
I don't have a lot of RVR or Scen tokens, so it's going to take me a good while to gear up anyway.
So I just looked it up on the wiki, Devastator is an RvR set, as I said I don't have a ton of tokens.
Even Annihilator is out of my reach for a good while.
I play Destruction, and I'm NA, RVR isn't a fat RP and token farm, I have to play when there is a WB available and hope there aren't four WB's of Order out locking zones.
So while you're right about the relative quality of the gear, the reality of farming it is less clear.
I farmed a PQ for a few hours tonight and I got a piece of Ruin, I'll have no trouble farming the whole set before the week is out.
Then I can look into the Epic Quest line for weapons, but I actually think I can afford Merc weapons, which I think might be better.
It's a place to start right?

I just compared the stats for Duelist and Ruin for my WE, no way I'm keeping Duelist over Ruin.
I can be out of T3 gear and into T4 gear by the end of the week.
Thank you for the advice, but Devastator was always going to be on my agenda as soon as I am comfortable with the gear I am wearing I just hadn't looked that far ahead yet.

EDIT:
Other than the healing debuff proc, and that sweet 240 corp resist on Devastator, Ruin is very similar to it, and going by pure stats Annihilator is better than either of them.
Bottom line, Ruin is more quickly accessible will improve my performance.

TLDR
Once I have Ruin farmed and talismans in it, and upgrade my weapons, I'll figure out what to do about accessories.
Then I'll feel comfortable enough to go farm higher end sets, whatever that ends up meaning.
I'm talking about the WE right now, sorc is off of my radar for now.

Need weapons and accessories next.
I imagine I'll work on weapons first.
Once I have this kit rounded out I'll feel more comfortable pursuing Devastator.
