A while back the following link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0 was posted as the as reference for all the armor sets in-game. Is this still the case? If so, I was wondering if the stats are a work in progress for the as yet unreleased armor - I was specifically looking at the Chosen sets.
I was comparing the Vanquisher/Oppressor sets as upgrades to Conqueror/Dominator gear and the numbers seem a little strange. The V/O set has a total of 3514 armor where C/D set has 3305 armor. Total stat count fro V/O is 329 points, where C/D has 351 points total.
Looking at the numbers, only gaining 209 armor but losing 22 points of stats (and the consolidation of the Oppressor stats into only Strength, Initiative and Wounds while removing all Toughness and Weapon Skill) seems kind of underwhelming. Dominator armor is low on Toughness as it is and removing any Toughness on the Oppressor set just seems to make it less viable to use as a full set. I'm also curious about the removal of Weapon Skill from the set, has the need for armor penetration been nerfed that much? I also had the thought that the V/O sets were originally designed when characters gained renown up to RR100 and had the stats adjusted to take that into account, however I'm not really sure if that is the case or not.
I also noticed that the 2 piece bonus for the Imperator/Overlord set has been changed to +66 Strength on there. Is that a coming change?
Sorry for all the fiddly little questions in what is supposed to be an over-arching roadmap post, I just like to mess around with set stats and try to figure out the best time sink vs. overall value for PvP, and then spend my time accordingly.
