KOTBS VS IB.
Re: KOTBS VS IB.
With KoTBS you get fabulous feathers in your helm. Then again with IB you get an armored mustache.

Re: KOTBS VS IB.
In general, a KotBS is taken in a group for all content. That is the general preference. IB or SM takes the second tank spot.
Knights are all about buffs, debuffs, cc and survival. 2h knights are brought for their offensive utility, not bc they deal damage. Knights are always walking buff batteries that spend much of their time fluffing about. However, they have a few high impact abilities/decisions that keeps it from being entirely boring.
IBs have many more used abilities and their GCD choices matter more often. They can choose to be super tanky, kind of damaging, or more buffy.

Re: KOTBS VS IB.
When you consider IB to to damage it falls short due to all their skills does physical damage and the mitigation against this particular damage type is huge vs everyone (as everyone stacks armor talis/skills nowadays). Often overlooked, but the knight have various damage types and even it's basic attack has a 25% armor penetration (which is big in my opinion, wish my IB would have the same on Heavy Blow).
Also IB's are tanky and hard to take down, BUT knights are tankier, in same situation tank lives longer (especially under focus fire). IB is great at solo vs. casters or squishies, but against - competent - tanks or marauders you usually finish 0:100 due to the mitigation problem.
