I am quite new in WAR.
I wanted to join the fight in the Maw. But I couldn't get into the zone. I was always ported back to the "entrance" of the zone.
After a while, I gave up, left the warband and used my book of binding to port away.
When I arrived at my "home spot" I got a message saying something like "You have a reservation for The Maw, It is valid for 5 minutes".
But this came, after I ported away! I am no longer there.
The same thing happened the other with Shining Way.
Why do I get such a message when I quit the zone and port away? I should get such a message, when I am still there, waiting...
What is the mechanic here?
What should I do?
Zone full: "The Maw". How does it work?

Re: Zone full: "The Maw". How does it work?
So when the fort zone pops you may already have a reservation in which case you just go in.
If you don't have enough contribution to get a reservation, you can still "queue" for the zone which will put you on the waiting list and ported just outside the zone.
If a spot opens up, you will get a reservation at that point and you can walk in.
In all cases if your reservation expires before you enter the zone you will have to queue again.

In my now outdated Fortress guide, it covers some of those mechanics:
viewtopic.php?f=113&t=35455
But basicly when an End-zone is locked, those who have contributed the most for each realm are granted a reservation to the fortress zone, those reservations last untill there is only 30sec left on the preparation / warbandbuilding / stage1 phase of the fort. And in case any reservations were not used, its granted to those first in queue.
A personal selfish tip, if you think you didnt contribute enough and the following fort will be full afterwards for your realm, you can go to the fortress zone before the endzone locks, and you will be early in the queue for reservations. best of luck
