Are you looking for the classes that are best if we look away from sorc and BW, or are you saying sorc and BW aren't the best bombers?

I'm actually quite interested in this as well.. I play order but i really dont like the look and feel of BW but would like to deal AoE damage from range.. If there would be like a best-to-worst list of AoE damage what would it be?

1. BW
2. ...
3. ...

I dunno about best AoE class as a whole, and I honestly have never tried the AoE mastery tree, but Magus Firestorm is crazy. Channeled AoE with 100% uptime with tactics (including endless AP), crits for over 1k damage on plenty of targets, snares everyone inside, let's you move while you cast it so you can actually use it to kite melee, and doesn't require LoS to cast or maintain. On every single one of my alts, there is always a moment during keep siege where I think "I wish I was on my magus right now". Can keep it up on the opposite side of a wall during funnel from perfect safety, can cast it in the middle of lord room from outside or downstairs, it's bananas. I've been top damage/dbs in quite a few SCs for my crappy gear/RR with 80-90% spamming this ability too.

2. SW with the proper setup. 3. Dps runie or engy, not sure. If we were to include melees aswell, slayer is probably tied to or just below SW, don't have personal experience with it so can't tell.

SL much better then SW now (w/o UF) in close combat. SW better in open space.
Have experience :)

Yeh, on paper it should beat SW out of the box, but with a certain partysetup I think SW is gonna come out of top tbh. There's also the fact that slayer doesn't have anything to moraledump with.

Magus is probobly in a bad state due to disrupt/dodge on dot changes
But otherwise, if you get a chance to set it up deals more AoE damage then any class out there. But the 10 secs stationary to set up requires your whole warband fighting style to be based on it. But aslong as mobillity is as good as it is while bombing it will only ever work in defensive strategies. Burst is superior in fast and mobile combat.
If not for BW/Sorcs I would go for either Marauder, SH, SW or Slayer.
