Tips leveling + gearing up for returner

Hi all,

I just returned to RoR after a few month of pause as it is still one of the best PVP MMOs (open + BG) I ever played. I used to play the original game the whole time it was available.

Currently I am playing a WH (level 18).

Now my questions is:

1) Whats the best way to level up? Questing, farm spot, queueing BG?
2) Whats the best gear you can get at the moment?
3) Can I farm the best egar via PVP (tokens) or are there any rare mobs / bosses I have to do?
4) Any good and actual guides for WH?
5) Is the career builder on this site up to date?

Hi,

1) Most efficient way to level up in ranks would be farming mobs, champs at best. But note that might leave your renown rank drag behind.
2) Depends for what Job. But generally the best gear is aquired from some sort of PvP.
3) See No.2.
4) If there any play/build guides for WH, you will find them in the empire section of the subforums.
5) I think so...

Hello

ad 1. Scenarios + sc quests for renown, tokens and XP plus clearing up PQ areas (quests + inf grind) in between.
ad 2. SCs+RvR ones. Quite nice blue inf PQ ones for low lvls (2-30). From what I've noticed Emp mostly has offensive, Dwarf defensive and Elf healing gear.
3. SCs for weapons + offensive armour set, RvR for obli/dev/anni/conq armour sets, Epic T4 quests for weapons till you can scs/subjugator ones.
ad 4. Check Empire forum.
ad 5. AFAIK it is apart from latest changes.

Career builder is not up to date in a lot of instances. The tooltip damage is also quite misleading. At a minimum you should confirm any build in game.

With recent t2/t3/t4 merge you are already in, welcome.
Also check BL lairs, some pieces of it are BiS for most classes.

Don´t want to hijack the topic but I`m in the same situation. Restarted last week after years of pause (having played from beta to shutdown on the former servers). My DoK nos is lv14 with lv16 rr, and I have no clue when to move to T2. I understood the lv cap in T1 is char lv 16 ? Then grind and go to T2 ? Will I only be the victim with my low lev gear ?

16+ is T4 bracket. You'll get a juicy bolster in the field which will allow you for some mild carnage, try to get obli / challenger set for additional stat boost. 1 day of scs will give you emblems for weapons (you can downgrade to get the required amount).
Plus with low lvl your renown your soar sky-high in rvr..

On 14+ I'd recommend grinding Ost chapters for blue weapons and green items from chapter merchants (which will go hand in hand with challenger / obli). On 22+ get mayhem set (if your dislike for scs will prevent you from getting duelist/merc + sc weapons).
