Cannot buy ability training for squig herder

Every time I go to any apprentice career trainer and try to buy a passive skill for my squig herder, it reads," this ability is not implemented".

Could someone tell me when this might be added to the game as it will cripple my character down the road, thanks?

They're automatic, you don't need to buy any skills right now. Your squig will get them when they can use them.
