What about this build:

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... 0:;0:0:0:0:

Possibly maxing out Discord as more ranks come. 2H Discord work?

Yes it is buffs your resists aura

along with your blast wave to debuff more wounds and buff your staple dps ability in ravage which combines well with your buffed reists debuff aura

I dont think that you should take quickened discord

without touch of palsy its not even worth considering

i would suggest the superpunt tactic with hastened dissmissel

piercing repel might be interesting combined with with zelots warp the spirit for 20% reduced penetration

Alright so I been leveling up my 2h Chosen, and having a lot of fun. Thinking this for a final Mastery build.

waronlinebuilder.org - Chosen build

And this for Renown

Renown

The Mastery I feel is pretty standard: spec Crippling Strikes, Oppressing Blows, and Rending Blade, AoE debuff enemy damage. The Renown I'm a little less sold on. I want to stack Parry and Crit, cuz I feel like I definitely get enough Toughness from aura+gear, but I might be wrong. Obviously, I could swap out the crit for Toughness, since I'm wary that 5% crit is not worth losing 56 Toughness.

Thoughts?

Ok what about this one for a more Discord focused 2H

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... 8:;0:0:0:0:

Still bringing Crippling and I figure since(from what I've experienced) Chosen seem to be AP hungry that using the AP gain on Parry tactic with Suppressions buff might help manage some of that.

Also brings a general heal debuff with me.

I feel like one of the problems with Crippling Strikes is that it fits so well with Oppressing Blows that I have a hard time justifying going further up Discord. Since it only procs off crits, I feel like +15% crit tactic is so useful that I couldn't imagine speccing one without the other. Unless I have vastly underestimated the amount of crit I can get off gear.

So would this be a decent 2H build for a Chosen?
Basically same as what I use:

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... 781:4791:0:
Reason for slight variance:
More resists from resist aura, slightly stronger ravage.

Renown: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#renown;000 ... 0000000000
With skaven ring + suppression + duelist shoulders I get 47% parry which is great for mitigating guard damage and helps versus melee.

Gear: full duelist (you absolutely must have overcapped corp resist at this point to combat ignite's tactic debuff) + the best 2h you can get. Martial is your intro 2h for 35, enduring/eternal/boundless 2h costs a lot more.

What's left is 3 jewels, cloak and belt.

I like the influence belt with +119 resist all and +1% melee crit from Empire influence.

Jewels you can use str/wo or defensive stats. The tough + morale are also great so you can keep tzeentch's amplification up.

The cloak you can use another +morale if you're stacking +morale (bandit's shroud) or one of the Rappin' cloaks for more str/wo.

This is 2016. Why do the devs allow the magus to continue to be overpowered?

Hey all, been t3 for about half a week, hit 31 and got Rending Blade+epic quest 2hander, feel actually useful now. Doing pretty much what Valnak said: Renown into Parry and Toughness, full duelist gear (working on it, have 2 pieces, the rest is sentry), trying to hit 50% parry with Suppression up. Seems to work pretty good: I do decent damage, I don't die very fast, and I help keep teammates up with Guard+Crippling Strikes.

Couple questions:

1: What talismans should I be slotting, and what jewelry should I be using? Should I slot pure toughness/wounds, or should I go for strength and toughness, or what? I know I want the skaven ring with the +parry, but other than that I don't know what to slot.

2: Kinda like the above, but are stats other than Strength and Toughness desirable? I know Initiative decreases chance to be crit, so I should have some, but how much? Similarly, how important is Willpower? I know it helps Disrupt chance, so should I actively seek gear out for it, or leave the mage-killing to the BGs/WEs?

3: Is it normal to feel AP/GCD-starved? Especially with Rending Blade now, I feel like I don't have enough AP or GCDs to get off all the abilities I need: I use Rending Blade whenever it's up, refresh Suppression when it's about to fade, Challenge whenever off CD/when I have a good shot (i.e. not wasting it on two SnB KoTBS playing patty-cake with a Black Orc), keep snare up on focus target, Sever Blessing whenever possible, Taunt focus target, Tooth of Tzeentch when up (should I not use this one?), Blast Wave when off CD, Guard switch when needed (doesn't consume AP or GCD I know but does consume time), use Morale ability when needed, Ravage when everything else is on CD, Repel on whoever needs some puntin' (getting target out of guard range, peeling dps off squishy, knocking healer out of backline into the Marauder ball, etc.).

Feel like I end up with a very tight rotation I got to adhere to, and it's super easy to screw it up. And also really easy to run out of AP. This normal, or am I pressing too many buttons? Or too few?

Wounds, Toughness, Armor or Strength for talismans. I use Wounds because I figure that it gives the most EHP 1v1 and in situations where I don't get heals. I solo queue a lot. Toughness/armor for greater returns when being healed, Strength for when you're running something like 3 tanks.

Jewelry:
For default use the Strength/Wounds or Toughness/Wounds. I use the level 35 jewelry with Toughness / +morale so I can maintain Tzeentch's as much as possible.

I don't think Willpower gives Disrupt nor does Weaponskill give Parry yet in this alpha. You want ~200 initiative. I personally don't try for Strength so I have less than 400.

Main stats are Parry/Melee Crit/Toughness/Wounds/Strength in roughly that order but if you want to mix it up that's fine.

That's how chosen will be until it gets Power From The Gods at 37. Supposedly it's going to be changed so don't bank on it. That's why I slot the AP morale 1. I use it when Tzeentch's amplification is on cooldown.

You have the right attack order. Tooth is about the same as ravage damage wise, not including the proc damage. So it's a lot better than ravage.

My priority is something like this:

Guard swapping #1
Punting if needed #2
Challenging as needed #3 (slightly better than Crippling Strikes)

One target:
Snare > Suppression > Sever > Tooth > Withering Blow > Ravage (I assume a Marauder has the wounds debuff, if not you'll want to apply Blast Wave before Tooth)

Multi:
Rending > Blast > Suppression > Snare > Tooth > Ravage

Bane Shield if multiple people are attacking me.
Also might want to have cleave available. I like to use it on people that have been armor debuffed, are really low HP or have blown cooldowns.

Thanks Valnak!

Cleave is also good if they're using a Morale that increases block or parry chance, since is undefendable, if I'm not mistaken, yes? I think there is that MDPS m1 that gives them guaranteed parry chance for 7 secs? Situational at best, I guess.

Question regarding future t4: Destined for Victory is one of the best tactics around, yeah? And it only procs on block. Is it good enough to make SnB Chosen so much more viable that 2h Chosen truly becomes irrelevant? Or will my 2h-toting ass still be useful come t4? I figure it's a long way off anyways so shouldn't worry too much, but am curious.
