While I see where people are coming from regarding their need to have the "carrot", I personally agree with the decision not to raise the RR cap.
I don't need to see purple numbers to have fun - instead I prefer not seeing them. I'm not conscious about having to grab that BO tick, and I'm not feeling like I'm grinding - I can just play the game.

I also don't think that a Renown cap of higher than RR40 is required for Tier 3.

I'm sure there's a number of reasons for the RR cap not being increased, which could be:
- The release of T3 brought enough potential issues and bugs with a new XP cap, zones and abilities. Perhaps the devs wanted to focus on one or two things at a time?
- Any higher than RR40 and people will be in full Conqueror gear instantly (assuming they grind the medallions hard enough to convert them upwards at 5:1) when they hit Rank 40. I know at release Conqueror gear was RR40-45 - not sure about what it was later in the game when RR requirements for gear got lowered in the upper tiers?
- Any higher than RR40 and people will have the powerful SC weapons instantly (assuming they grind the emblems hard enough to convert them upwards at 5:1) when they hit Rank 40.

For those saying that they "need goals" - have fun playing the game without needing to grind? Enjoy being able to do what you want!

I also agree with the level cap not being raised. As an altoholic, getting to the level cap can take a while.

I'm sure it wasn't an oversight and a deliberate and conscious decision not to, i just wonder what the rationale was and whether we can expect to see a renown cap raise before T4 some time in the future?

This was indeed discussed. A renown rank cap increase was opposed to because it ran the risk of rendering content (specifically PvE dungeons) obsolete.

Fair enough. You guys put in a colossal amount of unpaid effort to revive this game, rendering content redundant before it even comes out is a perfect reason not to increase the cap

TL; DR - being the moral Bastion he is, Aza would LV to tell us more about imminent forthcoming Bloodwrought content despite small proportions of the community spewing Bile.rot and generally acting entitled, but sadly some people may think he's Gunbad
