The unified currencies have made it nice for us dirty casuals it seems for decent armour progression via SCs and such.
What is the best weapon's progression? Can't find on the wiki info on influence and such in regards to weapons. I remember there used to be some purple weapons you could get, can't remember if they where influence or questing that provided a stepping stone to subjugator.
Would prefer non-dungeon options. I've noticed you can get a nice rr61 upgrade to the old blue sc weapon and subbie gets fortress now. What is the intermediate options between the las blue sc weapons and subbie/rr61 hitty sticks?

The best - tough it out and do 2 runs of BS, use sub + bl until fort or just the bl. BL is generally bis for dps, but cases can be made for fortress for certain classes like wl.
Spending on sc weapons is a waste of crests imo, you can clear bs full in an hour or less with a /5 grp just pray to rng gods who you get . Not to mention skipping invader which is generally not a great set for a lot of classes

You can do the Epic quests , as well each Tier warcamp has weapons you can get with influence, then you can get weapons from the dungeons city and Bastion Stairs, as well as Scenarios
Here's the link to the Epic Quests . https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/Epic_Quests
Here`s a link that shows the actual weapons for each T4 epic quest reward

Here's the wiki page that covers the Bloodlord weapon and how to get it: https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/Bloodlord_Set
As others already noted, yes, it requires a dungeon.
The other path you can take is Genesis crests --> Subjguator --> Fortress weapon, or in rare cases, War Crests --> Vendor weapons (used to be the old SC weapons). All pretty situational depending on the build you want, but Bloodlord is usually most popular for DPS.

Re: Weapon progression for the casual player?
I'm running an IB tank so It looks like I'll have to prostitute myself to rvr warbands for the subbie weapons after hitting rank 40 for a while. I prefer SCs, I suppose getting subbie is easier than when I played last, was a real bloody lottery back then.Rubius wrote: Sat Dec 31, 2022 8:42 am Here's the wiki page that covers the Bloodlord weapon and how to get it: https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/Bloodlord_Set

Part of me wants to run slayer but it's far too squishy for a casual player.

Re: Weapon progression for the casual player?
one option to think about are the purple weapons from hunters vale
some of them you can purchase on the Auction House
just filter the level range from 40 to 40 and then choose 'weapons'
and you'll get hunters vale weaponry
not bad to have until you get better stuff
something you can wear as soon as you hit 40
