KOTBS VS IB.

Hi all!

I am thinking about starting a new tank and i cant choose between the two (KOTBS and IB).

Now i know that KOTBS is more a supp tank thanks to his auras. But what is IB's place? Is he Tankier than KOTBS ? Is it more difficult? easier? What about crowd control?

As a tank i would like to be a front liner, opening way or the last one standing giving time for others to escape ! Is any of these classes for me ? I don't really like destro.

IB has a higher skill ceiling, and can be both tankier and deal more damage than knight. With defensive IB you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want in orvr. Knight has a bit more lockdown cc and has a pretty strong aoe 2h build. Both are useful for groups or wbs. I'd say it's easier to play knight well than it is IB. Honestly both will give you want you're looking for if you spec them right, just depends on your preferred playstyle.

A IB will perform best when he is with a knight. That’s where it can shine most.

A knight will perform well always. It is not dependent on team composition.

2h knight has aoe wounds debuff, Encouraged Aim, Banish Darkness cooldown reduction -- for groups I would say 2h knight > 2h IB because of the utility it brings, but 2h IB isn't weak for sure.

In what way?

In that an IB has a lot more to keep track of/buttons to press, I'd imagine. Playing a KOBS was rather monotone in my experience: spam aoe snare, punt, other basic tank stuff, rinse-repeat.

IB all the way, by far better for solo play, have more damage, actually a dwarf(HUGE + btw), great buffs-debuffs.

I have all order tanks at 40.
Knight all the way.
IB is ability bloated and Knight has the best utility.
