Crashing in Keep Fights.

It happend now multiple Times to me, that, in these CQC Fights in a Keep, i crashed shortly before we are taking the Lord down. This is especially horrible, cause taking the enemy Keep is probably the most important Part of RvR cause afterwards we are getting the Chest with the endgame Items in it. I have srsly no idea WHY i crash, i always guessed it had something to do with the Server, its connection or what ever, but i have no real Idea. Help please would be a lot appreciated. :)

You are most definitely not the only person that crashes during keep takes. I also tend to crash before the keep is taken. I don't know if there is anything we can do as players. And as far as the server goes, it is what it is, we don't know if there are any plans to "fix" the server connection issues currently.

I had a lot of keep crashes before. And reduced it now to once a week.

Here are things you can do.

1. don't allow players to join wb from a different zone. Will sometimes lead to wb crash.

2. set grafics to fastest framerate.

3. install the 4gb ram 64Bit enhancer. Need to search a little the forum for it.

4. reduce your open quest <10.

5. don't take the keep lord quest. Don't take the sc quests.

6. remove quest items out of your quest item inventory slot. Especially the ones from broken quests.

7. change shown names from styled to standardized.

8. if you use nerfed buttons and get an error after exit/logout search for the text of the error message in forum for fix

9. deactivate the addon WSCT

Reasons are generally not connection problems with the server. But client and server exchange packages of data. And if the client gets to much packages which doesn't make sense to him he quits.
Broken quests generate data. As well as broken items.

The devs have ALREADY done a tremendous boost on server stability and a lot of players. In t2 we crashed the server several times at our dwarf events.
That's why the devs removed so info on the packages which was updating your position with everyone around you very often.

If you follow the above steps you will reduce keep crashes A LOT.

if you use NB searh the fix aroun the forum, silly but changes name font from stylized to simple, disable WSCT add on if you have it.

Thanks Glorian, i did all youve said, but still today at Keep attack in Reikland i crashed 3 times in a row. Would be great if the Devs could work on the Server stability, or connection IF that is the problem, but i guess so, i have kind of a good PC so that shouldnt be the prob.

if the client close istantly with out any fps drop first is related to wb/party packet server send to client; sometimes something go wrong and all crash, as glorias said alredy maybe above may happen when someone join from another zone.
For exemple i crashed at the start of the wb forming today like 2 times then in all keep fight i've done today i never crashed and never i do in guild only wb/party or in keep siege.
Is all dependant to open wb and ppl joining from outside and weird packets; they are alredy worked on packets and they will keep in future.
There are different type of crash, as mentioned some add on are at fault sometimes, some are due to client bad optimized stuff; other are packed issues.
With all what glorian said you should only crash if server send a wrong packet which is really hard in sc queue for exemple and may happen only in open wb. Tough soft disconnection will happen and are handled a little more bad on ror than in live at least for me. So if you have some internet pign problem here and there you may get some debuff for nothing sometimes.

Have you tried to config ability effects to self on keeps? i always crashed due to ability effects, even with a good comp and good fps ( my PC run Witcher3 or Arma3 without any problem ) After i get out of keep i change the settings to show effects on everybody.

The devs cant. Maybe londo can manage to find a way one day but i can only imagine it as a horribly hard job to decode a game of this size. (No tech guy - just trying to explain things in my own words)
