That is exactly it.DokB wrote:I don’t know too much about the forums mate, I just browse this **** when I’m bored at work.
I play in the Oceanic time slot which is just as dead as NA and where Order have outnumbered us for the last few months constantly. I joined a guild of guys from a similar time zone and just group each night with a bunch of people. The groups almost always have shocking group composition because we just play what we want, but you don’t need to have an elite premade to roam the lakes and get kills. Hell, we don’t even have 6 people at times and it’s a rare day we even get a RDPS in the group. It’s up to us to make it work since the issue with NA/Oceanic time zone is a population problem outside the devs control.
No one expects anyone to churn out that PERFECT FOTM TROLOLOL 6man, to perform like a god or participate in the epeen circus.
However, one is expected to unterstand the very framework at hand and its limitations, if not to prevent tilt/burnout, then at the very least to prevent the obligatory, ridicoulus demands and complaints that make up 3/4 of the forum.
If the solution to the problem (perceived imbalance of either game mechanics and/or population or potency and "viability of playing a [****] game" [ffs]) is groupplay and one, for whatever mysterious reasons, isn't able utilize said solution, even though others, performing under the same or a smilar circumstances are able to do just that, the issue at hand is neither the initial problem, nor the solution or the circumstances - its either one's expectations or one's antics.
This game isn't serious buisness - this game, just as any other game, can be fun even if you lose.
Its the magic of groupplay - playing with people = fun, smacktalk in voice coms after a loss = fun, bragging and shittalking after a win = fun, casual chatting whilst PvDooring = fun. At the very least its more fun than PvDooring on your own or getting **** on playing roaming snowflake.
If you have trouble finding groups ingame, just go ahead and utilize the other tools at your disposal.
There is not only this forum but, if I'm not wrong an IIRC channel and a discord(?).
Hell, just spread the word on other forums and gaming communities, or among your IRL buddies.
There are, I imagine, plenty of people playing during the NA/Oceanic time - there might not be enough people to yield entire warbands or have big scale RvR fights, or some tryhard epeen circus acts, but there surely are people to group and kill time, if not enemies with.

groups (that you could have fun fights against if you were playing in a group), gear and aquisition (that you wouldnt have any trouble with if you were playing in a group), population (thats supposed imbalance you wouldn't notice if you were playing in a group; pug farming <3)

The solution to all this is incredible simple and abundantly obvious:
Play the game to have fun, (finally) unterstand that to have fun in this game groupplay is pretty much a mandatory requirement or
arrange yourself with it and play the formats you can excel at as snowflake; say solo roaming or PvE, w/e.
If social interaction is such a hassle for you, you might aswell play singleplayer games and do <yourself> a major favor.
E: format and stuff.

Re: Incentives
Amidala's banter pretty much comes down to the very same thing you want to have stickied.
Play in a group, farm snowflakes - enjoy life. As in: stop bitching on the forums, and stop trying to force the devs to change classes based on absolute random encounters devoid of any teamplay whatsoever.
Atleast thats my optimistic take on it - no offense intended either way.

Re: Incentives
This sounds far from truth. When the destro players are good, then they won't leave but farm order with organized groups. Better call them bad players.SPUD wrote:Spot on, Destro is dying and its not fun to get smashed my Zerging Order day in day out! its been happening for awhile now and good destro players have left and more are leaving, some have even got Sick of playing destro and have gone to order, making them even more of a power house.
If u cant beat them...join them, but im no sheep and ill keep playing destro.

Dying is no option.
Re: Incentives
^ good players excel in fairweather environments. People that jump ship whenever they face hardship tend to fail as it comes to adapting. Moreso their sentiment and overall morale will be so incredible easy to break that they'll log off once they get wiped right after they jumped ship.Sulorie wrote:This sounds far from truth. Re: Incentives
That won't change for as long there are no people willing to group up to begin with.
I've recently logged a destro alt of mine, started up a group with some randoms...
You can guess how long that lasted, one wipe and all buggered off completly demoralized for no apparent reason whatsoever.
To even get remotely decent you have to either frequently play with each other or at the very least be open to criticism - or well, you know, get over a death in a videogame to begin with.
E: Not to mention how much of a struggle it is to bait out smth as simple as a "hello"...
