And for a guild to be good, they need to know what makes PvE easy (being survivable to prepare for that crit + knowing the fight). That's why saying "just find a premade" is just too vague. It doesn't really help. Actually saying things that make PvE easy is what helps.
Because again a guild is "composed" of people, make people KNOW how to do PvE easy then we will have good guilds (as well as having smooth pugs)

Re: An unlucky day
For a guild to be good, they commit to PvE dungeons wholeheartedly, they ensure everyone is given equal treatment, that everyone's needs are taken into account, that everyone eventually gets their gear. They don't give up after one or two wipes.
Such guilds are out there, and will alleviate the issues you are having almost entirely. I don't see what the issue is...stop playing with bads? I mean, there's even a thread dedicated to giving tips for BS.

Obviously, don't play with bads. But sometimes we have to teach bads so they become goods, you will run out of people to play with with this mentality as well; only playing with people who "care" or are "good" or are "high geared" even though it's not that hard to PvE even with devastator gear so long as you're survivable. That's why as I've said, know the fight and be survivable first before saying "play with good people" which is vague.peterthepan3 wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2019 8:57 pm For a guild to be good, they commit to PvE dungeons wholeheartedly, they ensure everyone is given equal treatment, that everyone's needs are taken into account, that everyone eventually gets their gear. I didn't say it was complete garbage advice, all I said is it's too vague.
Also it's much better to just talk about boss mechanics (Like for example on a DPS detaunt Lord Slaurith every 20 seconds and don't break it because he switches aggro, make sure the tank challenges the blood pulse, if he doesn't go for you then start attacking and break detaunt, make sure to have at least 8k hp to prepare for the 5k auto-attack or incase you already detaunted but he crits)
P.S Commitment by itself isn't going to be enough vs. random crits, that's why talk about builds that MITIGATE rng vs. bosses too such as stacking wounds and convince people to use them so pugging and premades become ALL tolerable. You still have to tell people things such as "toughness is useless and doesn't do anything in PvE, stack avoidance instead as a tank" or sometimes you have to build wounds on a DPS (So that healers and tanks can heal/guard you on time)

Re: An unlucky day
why u talk about BS which is harder than crypt? it is not about mechanism. 2dps with no dmg cant even win the 1st boss of cryptchokeanutsman wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:02 pmObviously, don't play with bads. Re: An unlucky day
It's relevant to "teach" people how to play before we nerf dungeons so you don't need 2-2-2 meta (Though BB/BE is already like this). It's possible to be a DOK in devastator and do Bastion Stairs for example. Gear isn't the issue, it's the talismans and renown, and people not teaching people what to do on certain bosses. But if people can't learn when you're already teaching, then them don't play with them.Chinesehero wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:45 pmwhy u talk about BS which is harder than crypt? it is not about mechanism. 2dps with no dmg cant even win the 1st boss of cryptchokeanutsman wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:02 pmObviously, don't play with bads. But I do agree that the 2-2-2 comp in dungeons need looking into, it's really hard to find tanks and healers that WANT PvE gear in the first place when they can just do RvR all day and get what they want. For example, maybe Bastion Weapon should have a Tank and Healer version instead of being all DPS gear to make Tanks and Healers want to do them.

Re: An unlucky day
no real reason to change the rewards for Bastion Stair, on live it was the dps set for healers and tanks, there are already a lot of places where tanks, and healers can get tank gear, weapons , as well as healer gear and weapons .
i also saw a book for wp in bastion stairs that was for heal spec .
we havent really had any issues finding tanks or heals for Bastion stairs , but as someone else stated , most of the fights are not a dps race, spec, and gear as well as high wounds are important .
