SC is just a gamble of who will get better party set up. it's amazing how random class present in scenario can be. yes in rvr rr80s will :| you with one click, but you can also thrive if you play sneaky, attack only when you're against enemy+1 of your ally, destroy enemy boxes (very lucrative when heavily outnumbered) which also gives you extra influence rewards across different maps.

So people you meet in RvR lakes are not a gamble? And you always need someone else to start fight. Yeah, sounds like so much "fun".
At the same time in mid tier SC you alone can actually make a difference even if you bolstered noob. Of course all fun ends when you hit T4 where one guy in sov will decide who gonna win.

1. Make a Witch Elf
2. Learn to play Witch Elf
3. Play solo and find stragglers.
4. Gank the stragglers.
5. Rejoice when they make a lv 1 destro alt just to be able to talk **** to you.

We played well coordinated grp of ppl that know each other on mains for long time.

Premade in conq/sentinel/bloodlord around 50rr facerolled well geared opponents.

Gear helps... But skill > gear.

Just check on vids of people like Reynor007 or others when they totally facerolled people while being under 40

In all honesty it's a major problem is evert mmo, as they expand and thw gear gap widens. In a previous thread the suggestion of some gear capped scenarios came up and I think this is the best solution.

You can't punish players who have done the grind just to satisfy the new players who havn't yet put the work in but at the same time you need to give the new players a reason to do the grind or they will give up. It's not an easy one for any dev team, let alone a part-time one.

You need to understand that this is a part-time dev team, working for the love of the game and not able to use the current mmo pay-to-win tools to give newplayers a boost.

does gw2 uses pay-to-win tools? i have almost 300hours on my kotbs and still dont have sov. andd even when i get that sov, that's only SNB specc that i can play, i will have to grind another 200+hours for off-spec armor. if you think that's ok, and that this game would die if there was less grind, then you're re*****. nhf.
