Assuming other people "cheat" doesnt mean its their fault and it just happened to be on their expense rather than finding a solution considering their requirements which is why I think they should roll it back and just find the real cheaters.

It's not like we could investigate every player and ask them for pictures to validate each NB user. The addon was on the blacklist for a long time but the proper means to remove it and offer an alternative without the rejected features have been recently achieved. That's just it, as simple as it sounds.. The developers dislike the addon from A to Z due to some of its specific features - it's purely related to the addon itself.

All I am saying is that taking into conaideration it hurts a large amount of player means it need be addressed properly rather than blacklisting the only viable solution.

Frankly people are oversensitive about feedback here, thats my opinion, while its true many people complain over all sort of stuff the primary attention should be on the already shrinking community or RoR will end up like the others.

It was taken into consideration, just like balance patches are taken into consideration. The backfire is expected and the dissatisfaction of a small part of the community is also expected. This does not mean that we like to mess with your enjoyment of the game, nor does it mean that we enjoy having drama all over the forum and in our messages, but there will always be changes and complaints. If there were no changes, there will still be complaints. We understand that players wish to play their best personal version of the game, the way they personally want it - that's normal but that's not achievable.

The key is to always understand that games change and that no one will ever have their own optimal, completely perfect version of the game. Not even the developers can achieve that persona goal..

In my opinion it is different than class balance for the better or worse, I am not handicapped.

I think aiming to make as many players satisfied should be the prime concern, and more importantly access the game, this was taken from them because people are abusing said addon (never used it myself) and are not being punished for it, because others do.

I have always thought that it was up to the player to acquire the right tools for them to be able to play the game at their leisure, like having a keyboard / mouse to fit their handicap. Should I have the right to have an aimbot in online fps games just because I have bad eye sight? And if that is the case, then everybody would suddenly magically be struct with it, just to get that slight edge over other players.

I honestly believe it is for the broader spectrum, lets face it population cant drop forever and that doesnt work for the broader spectrum.

Personally I find the title a little extreme, that a group are affected more by a specific change can and has been brought up and clarified that they were not the goal. The ambition from dev team has been stated that they want to remove NB from the game from manny manny years back. The only reason that it remained was identifying how it could be done without breaking the game. So taking the victim card seems inappropriate even if it hurts.

I think players with high ping also suffer from the NB removal.
However, the decrease of server population has several reasons.
The most dangerous one is the frustration about the direction the server is going.
Losing core players means lasting dmg to the community.

You could instead be saying: "We are looking into making Sequencer better which is an alternative to NB without making it OP with so many conditionals. We know Sequencer could use more work and we are working with the community to make it great." Something. Anything. Aside from tough titties find a new game.
