Having played a RR100 WL on Live, I can tell you that a WL is all about front loaded burst and is especially effective against clothes.
You very quickly take the sting out of its tail if you AP drain it and CC it with snares, etc. Ideally, like I can do on my Black Guard, you also debuff their crit chance as the burst is directly related to how much they crit.
Furthermore, their burst damage is linked to a large extent to their pit (I.e. Pack hunting tactic, etc) so if you can you down their pet first, which makes the WL much less of a threat until they can resommon.
Finally, and I am not saying you aren't (but if you aren't, you should), healers should spec defensively. Willpower scales terribly, and just base willpower stats from your gear are typically all that you need. Instead, stack armour talismen, spec some RR defensively and perhaps get Resolute Defense so you can pop it when the pet tries to pull you.
