Would be nice with something similar in SCs so ppl afk = 0 emblems / xp / renonwn
Same for RvR no abilities used = no rewards

Counting ability uses would be superior to damage or heals. It favors being there and being active regardless of role
I disagree, it would be trivially easy to abuse that system, all you'd need to do is target yourself and cast a HoT, or use Flurry, etc, etc, over and over again.
It isn't to hard to filter out abuse like not counting actions that aren't doing anything. If you do damage and are in combat in the PQ or heal someone (not over heal) you have a simple but working filter.

Basing contribution on output favours certain archetypes, strongest classes and players with best gear.

Well you have to work in QA what do you expect. Never heard of someone developping something without working at the company and still thinking he will be paid. Nowadays betas are pretty much compleatly done games you can't really go on the marked anymore with a beta which has bugs everywhere.

Valfaros wrote:3) The new loot system: As you already told us it is still very lackluster. I would even go to, "it is just as bad" or "even worse."
3.1 Still 60% RNG through roll
3.2 Helps AoE mob stealing people while punishing healers and tanks. Even if you count healing done, the PQ's were designed for about 9 people and since it doesn't scale there isn't much to heal or to tank when there are 30+ people running around.
3.3 Persistence allows afk players to win just as easy as before. Based on the loot system now if you gain top places with 500+ points you will always get a bag and based on the gaussian normal distribution a good amount of players will lie below a roll of 500 which causes to give them not a golden bag instead a useless other one. So persistence never effects strong contributing players even if they lose one bag after bag.
Afk players on the other hand will based on the same rule win no bag for 2 or 3 rounds and will than stand at the same point just like the contributing ones.
So where is the point to contribute anyway if my bonus is getting canceled out by persistence.
Quick fix. Why are you criticising something we've already said was an emergency fix to deal with AFKers?
I'm criticising this to just point on problems with the system. I don't know how the new one is going to look like but if it includes any of these points it will still be lackluster (based on my opinion and yes I could be horribly wrong with the opinon but it still can help to look at it). I think it would be better to point on something before you patch it but since it causes so much trouble here just by posting it I just leave the topic then.

+I'm not posting this because I want my item back (I think I lost one bag from yesterday doing this PQ) because I didn't had a lot of time to play here anyway since T4 release but there are several others who contributed to this PQ's for hours each day and I found the move not the right one.

I've been here since t1 and I think we had 3. THREE, total wipes in an alpha... that is amazing. We had end of t1 wipe, t2 rvr set wipe, and now this. There should have been probably even more wipes along the way as certain members of the community were abusing bugs to earn gold way to easily.

You guys have to expect that these things will happen, especially with a t4 release in the manner that it was released in. Understand that t3 keeps became bugged after a rollback and t4 had to be released "two weeks" sooner.

This wipe was a classic example of the few ruining it for everybody. Personally I expect more wipes in the future. Sooner or later some guild or players in the community will most likely find a bug that can earn them fast gold or get easy PHAT loots that will destroy the economy and lead to a full server wipe.

Just be happy to play this game... for free... and don't over work yourself or start grinding your life away on an alpha version of the game without knowing that at any moment, everything you have can be gone.

Strange. I could have sworn I had to purchase GW2 to play it.

New system is pretty good! I don't 100% understand it and as a melee DoK have struggled to place very high which is surprising. But I think if you made 2 gold bags drop each PQ there would be less complaining and people would "deal with it" so to speak.

But if not, no worries, we don't "have" to get" the ruin set but the armor is pretty nice. :) love you guys

Even one gold bag every time would be OK. From my experience, any times the number of participants drops to around 12 people, zero gold bags are awarded.
