Someone who plays both zl and rp feel free to correct me if Im wrong but zl should have higher burst especially now with changers echo and burst of chaos.worship wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 5:59 pm Also curious who's better in small scale.
I have a 78RP in sov-vic(no ring)-sent-lotd cape and 2 rings, at about 260-270MP.
I use the Blazing Runes tactic for +25% dmg to Rune Of Burning and Rune Of Immolation, so my usual rotation is:
0. Pre-cast the int buff's temp ability for some extra dmg;
1. Rune of Fire (for +25% dmg to RoI)
2. Rune of Immolation +25%dmg
3. Rune of Fate
4. Rune of Fulmination
5. Rune of Fire (for +25% dmg for Rune of Burning)
6. Rune of Burning +25%dmg
Sometimes i insert Rune of Fortune between 4 and 5 if i need some heals.
If everything works - then the total damage is great. However,
1. It takes 6gcds, or 7 if Rune Of Immolation is disrupted, and i have to recast it again, as it is a musthave for Fulmination. It's very rare when i can do a full rotation.
2. If Rune of Fulmination is disrupted - then the whole rotation is wasted, as the damage without the ele debuff is not great.
Do you have any advice for a more "safe" rotation? Should i drop Blazing Runes and double-casting Rune of Fire?
Separately, how does Zealot compare to RP, and what's your typical rotation? My Z is healspecced right now and is 65 only, but i'd love to focus on DPS if it is better than that of RP. Better - not necessarily pure numbers, but overall dynamic, burst, rotation safety.
Thanks.
When it comes to small scale, for duo and maybe even trio it definitely works very well. If you're looking for any semi organised 6man I honestly would just stick to healing. Sadly being the 2nd dps in your 6man team is not really that good but I guess you could try some weird comps with like 1 tank, 2x sorc + dps zeal and 2x healers but that kind of team would likely just get stomped in any sweaty 6v6 xD
*do note that I dont really play dps zl outside solo gameplay or occasional duo so don't take my word for any 6man or wb play
