Re: [FEEDBACK] On The Times Involved in Keep Sieges
Door HP seems fine to me now. Rams could do slightly more damage, and oil could do slightly less damage. The biggest problem I think is incentive to defend keeps, possibly a defense tick for killing rams. Taking keeps with no defense besides 1-2 ppl spawning oil isn't fun for anyone

If the keep was 5-10 mins (not sure but somewhere there) not attacked and you killed a certain amount of players there, you will get rewarded with a loot chest afaik. I dont know why that shouldnt be incentive enough actually. Especially since the oil is ridiculously strong atm and you can even shoot the ram with cannons if your oil went down.Lindisfarne wrote:Door HP seems fine to me now. Its fine IF the ram doesn't bug out and then cant be redeployed. Then it takes 3 wbs 40 mins to down 1 door.

Re: [FEEDBACK] On The Times Involved in Keep Sieges
Maybe i didnt make mayself clear enough before ingame on /t4: the rams _should_ be redeployable, but they have a 3minute cooldown once they got destroyed. The same counts for Oil. Also the area in which the ram can be placed is quite narrow. If you are too _close_ to the door it wont deploy either.
If you really encounter an issue with rams not being plantable after the first one died, make a screen pls and bugtrack it with the errormessage you most likely get.

that's the problem you should not rush back.....you should stay and reapir the ram . Then any organized m4 push + oil will kill your ram in future. Oil damages need a nerfShadowgurke wrote:the oil seemed fine. Once Oil absorption ability gets implemented it should be even less of an issue. My tank did not get oneshot although I did some significant damage. But after 3 times (in a random WB, mind you) people called out Oil being deployed, tanks rushed back and rdps destroeyed the oil.

Oil need half door hp cos it's stupid see it destroyed in few time(never got it on live too) and have it 3 min CD, make 5 min but give it a lot more life.

Re: [FEEDBACK] On The Times Involved in Keep Sieges
Oil hitting ram for 90% of its HP is nowhere near fine. You can just kill the ram everytime making it effectively worthless and destroying the oil isnt an answer because there is cooldown on both. By the time you will have ram up they will have new oil to spawn and oneshot your ram again.Shadowgurke wrote:the oil seemed fine. The siege should be imo focused on player vs player interactions, not randomly oneshotting people with siege equipment. Meele literaly has no place and use in siege right now because of these things. At least you could hit the door on live, sure healers would struggle to keep you alive but you werent constantly dead to someone clicking one button on top of the wall.

Re: [FEEDBACK] On The Times Involved in Keep Sieges
The incentive to retake bo's when sieging a keep are not there, people want to stick to the door being afraid to loose out on shot at one of the keep take bags. What happens after that is that the keep door regens too much and no one gets a bag.
I also feel like defending a keep is much more rewarding then attacking one. Not sure about this since I havent seen order take a shot at a keep yet. But it does seem to favor defenders.
Its a new system and people need to adapt, I feel like a vast majority of players has skipped reading the patch notes and in doing so severely handicaps all other players.
I like how this system requires more teamwork and encourages it. But many players have still got a follow the zerg mindset that makes it very hard to actually get something done. Maybe implementing realm captains can give this more of a boost? An incentive to lead an open warband might be appreciated as well.
The oil does do a lot of damage, but it should, its burning hot oil after all. But I dont see why it should do so much damage to a ram.

taking door down yes regen not, increase again the door hp as much as you want but not the regen..Torquemadra wrote:Time taking down doors feels appropriate, it gives the other realm the opportunity to get back and defend, people seem to forget that originally it wasnt just rr100s sneezing through doors for a rousing game of fliphammer
Oil - people forget that oil did incinerate warbands before people were powercreeped. On live when the realms were cross capuring empty zones I would creep into the oil tower and wait and wipe unsuspecting warbands. The first thing that was to be done in a seige was to take down the oil and repeat every time it respawned. Tanks go on rams, mdps dont stand under oil, its not rocket science.
Door regen on BOs, not sure about this, I like the concept of spreading people out but its currently leading to a very stop start approach and combined with the time to take down doors I get the feeling people will start to look for empty zones. Im not sure we have population to spread out and cover all BOs at this point and those covering BOs wont get a roll at the keep.
oil nuked ppl in live cos we had a different renown system which allow you to take less avoidance with more points and only after X points were spent..... i do not rememebr olil done undefitable moral like damages.
It should be block/dodgeable and the anti oil was amere 10% damage reduction which didn't stack with other anti-oil skills
