Can anyone give tips or build for a DPS DoK? Is it even good? Do you recommend it?

It really depends on what you want to do. Running solo? In a premade? want to throw in some melee heals as well? focusing on SCs or RvR?

i.e. What role are you hoping to fulfill - alternative mdps or melee healer, supported or in a regular group vs pug/solo

It will make a big difference to how you spec, and to a slightly lesser degree how you gear

Mainly solo, not much PvE, more of solo SC and RvR

If you are doing a sc, then there's no such thing as *solo*. You become a liability instead of an asset.

Solo SC means you solo Q without relying on a tank guarding you or a healer to keep you up. You have 2 options.

1) http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=dok ... 9:;0:0:0:0:

You get an uncleansable heal debuff and the option to replace one of your tactics with Terrifying Aura if you feel you are getting focused/dying too much. Your only good heal is Rend Soul though.

2) http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=dok ... 6:;0:0:0:0:

You get decent melee heals (for small scale fights). Lack a heal debuff and AoE detaunt, so this is probably better for group play with someone else taking care of debuffs and guard.

In T4 you can get the best of both worlds.

Gear should be focused on Str (your heals depend on how much damage you do) and either Wounds or Toughness. I prefer Wounds though; already survived a couple Festerbombs thanks to that.

Have fun with your DPS Dok and ignore the haters. DPS Dok can be incredibly fun to play.
