Problem while reinstalling

Hey there. I am trying to reinstall the game after several months. I like to think i am following the install instructions properly, but when i open the game i get:

Over the years i've installed the game without issue, even copy/pasted the whole folder to other computers without troubles. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely permission issues or antivirus/firewall blocking some files
Check those steps from installation guide again: viewtopic.php?t=45103

other thing to try is to open
UserSettings.xml from ~/RoR/user folder and changing the game resolution manually to your monitors or changing to windowed to see if that fixes it.
