Hi guys,

I came to this idea while reading recent thread on WH versatility. Very few WB leaders tend to invite WH/WE's into warbands stating low usefullness - damage is sort of OK but not too exciting, not much of group buffs except for morale drains, low AOE potential.

Where I come with my proposal is to retain WH/WE core role - single-target killer and make their damage their strongest point (as intended). At the same time I understand that by simply buffing damage numbers by X we will have imbalance in solo aspect and ganking will be ridiculously wide-spread which in turn will lead to other issues. Some MMOs suffered a lot from it. So, here is my idea:

- My suggestion is to introduce a new tactic that would work in group environment only. What it should do - it should increase WH/WE damage output for every non-WH/WE group member (to eliminate ideas of super-powerful gank brigades consisting of rogues only) by a fixed percentage. Say by 5% or 10% for every non-WH/WE group member. There should be a proximity requirement too - members should be within 100 feet to make the tactic work to arrest the situation when rogue is ganking on one end of the map while her group is doing something else somewhere else.

So, in the best case it would improve their damage output by 25% or 50% depending on the initial percentage. This should motivate to invite WH/WEs to warbands more often. And this should improve usefullness of WH/WE's. Is 50% damage buff alot? I do not think so - slayers/choppas receive 50% damage buff while in berserk mode and everyone is OK with that. Mind you that level of armor of SL/CH in berserk mode is similar to WH/WE's. So there should not be any strong imbalance issue. Important is to remember that group members should be other than WH/WE for purposes of this buff and there should be distance requirement.

Alternatively, to avoid making well-geared players super-powerful with this buff the percentage can be replaced with a fixed value of STR and WS per each groupmember, say, 25 of each stat per head. Stats have soft caps and this should prevent ridiculous one-shot situations while still making WH/WE good group assassins. Although this second scenario may not serve the original purpose - WH/WE should produce very high damage figures in groups and this should buy them an entry ticket.
