No screen-only desktop with sound at Launch

I installed the game with the torrent through tixati and for a couple days it was working perfectly fine. Today though I started running into this problem where whenever I launch the game (64-bit through the launcher) it makes my screen go black like its about to launch, but then boots me to my desktop and only plays the sound from the character select screen. I can see the game is running on my toolbar and it is running in my task manager, and I can briefly see the game before being kicked to my desktop and can only listen to the sound. I uninstalled and then reinstalled after fixing some things with my one-drive that were unrelated and did it in the same way, but where before I had a couple days of normalcy it is immediately right back to this problem. I am not sure what to do here and any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I do a wilde guess, I think you are playing in fullscreen...if yes, just try this.

• Go to: your RoR folder > user ...and open the UserSettings.XML file with an editor (the simple windows txt editor for example)

• search for this line

• and replace it to:

  Code: Select all

  <Mode window_frame="true" fullscreen="false" />
