its a 3s KD with a dot on a 20s cd that requires a 2h

i literally dont understand what the problem is
Oh I thought it was a 4 second KD for some reason, weird.
It was actually, before mythic generalised all non-class-mechanic-related knockdowns to 3 seconds in one of the later patches.

I remember all these posts from live.

The game is great because of the way it is. If you want mirrors there are plenty of other great games that do this or you can build your own.

I believe complete class mirroring would be a bad idea, because it would ruin the individual class identity that players love about Warhammer. However, there are some crucial abilities that do need to be mirrored just for basic balance reasons.

2h BGs not having a mirror for Cave-In is absolutely insane. BGs are the ONLY tank in the game with no access to a KD while using a 2h. Another huge problem is not having a proper mirror to Earthshatter. These examples are just plain balance failures that I hope will be looked into here. It would be nice to throw on a 2h and not feel like a complete fool for doing so.

We still can find early concepts of warhammer online classes on the web. It's faaaar from mirroring.

"The Knight is actually quite an interesting class, he is a tank, but he’s a bit of more of a support tank. The Knight has commands, these commands can be issued in such a way that the Knight can sit back as a battlefield commander, and just help his group by directing these buffs, these group buffs and these individual debuffs on targets and groups, and he doesn’t necessarily have to just get up there and mix it up, he can walk back and he can stay back as your battlefield tactician type. Or, he can get in and mix it up. So there’s two ways that you can play the character, you can be up front in the face, defending your allies, blocking, doing melee attacks, or you can stay back and play a little bit more of a tactician."

He sold mythic to EA and most of the original intention can be derivated by everyone who utilizes common sense and played the game for some time.

Mark Jacobs co-founded Mythic Entertainment and made some kick-ass games like Dark Age of Camelot. Then he traded the company and his soul for a bunch of shiny beads. After winning back the soul in a Dubai poker game, he’s ready to do it all again. And this time, he’s got beads and he’s not afraid to use them.

Where did i write it otherwise? This game needs some balance: on some classes and some abilities, but ocf not by taking away complexity/what makes the game special...
SilverWF wrote: SWTOR do not have balance problems - you are talking something you didn't know
I just played it for about two years and occasionally after it was made "free2play" (+ i'm one of the idiots, who bought the 150€ CE), what do i know...
SilverWF wrote: Balancing 8 pairs of classes between each pair is much more easier than balancing 16 classes separatelly
I already wrote that mirror balancing is way easier and way more boring, obviously no one here wants a "fantasy SWOTR".
SilverWF wrote: No-mirror-balanced WAR died 2 years ago (and started to die literally in 1-2 month after release) - do not forget about it when talking about quiting from mirror balanced ROR
Ofc the death of WAR had nothing to do with the absence of any dev communication for a long time, LotD OP-crap, patch 1.4.0, the 5 year licence from games workshop expired/was sold to Sega, etc. pp. ...

Now please continue on your crusade for a "better RoR experience"; with (atm) 5:81 against it, i'm sure this will happen soonish.
Overquoting is sucks

1. Google for EA louse - maybe this text is still alive
2. Some classes and some abilities? And who will decide this? You? Why not me? I wish Shammy's Here we go would be a DOT and AM will lost his heal debuff and 1 DOT (with crit chance debuff). Why not?
3. So? Deluxe preorder here, so do not talk this true stories to me. If someone starting whine about "OMG, Mara is OP!" then everyone able to say " your side have Sentinels, so shut up".
4. I'm already understood that 90% of players wanna play in "take OP class and laugh at gimps" game
5. I repeat: it started dieing directly after release! About what patch or dev communications you are talking? Huh? There wasn't oneshot anyone WEs thees days? Or I can kill anyone in 2 ravages Chosens? Why ppl was so upset about that "unic differences" huh?

Nah, I will continue playing on some OP-class and killing crap classes and thinking about "omg, I'm good!" like 90% of this thread.

Agree.
Let's remove ability to wear swords from KotBses and left shield only to them.
All will be OK: tanking and commanding.
Like in some stupid press-release :D

I am all for incentives for Black Guards to actually use two handers, why name the class Black Guard if you never see a halberd? You don't have to mirror Blade of Ruin, but you can give it a KD :P

As for the Knights, the tactician idea ended up just being the auras, chosen also used to be able to be spell casters in early development, that could use magic to augment their fighting ability if they chose a more Tzeentch path.
