This smells real bad. Realms are meant to work together. Even in Sc it's RvR. Not rewarding one player for assisting another player is bad. Maybe there are just 2 mdps but in separate groups. Neither will be incentivised to debuff for the other just for them to get the kill and reward.

Tiggo had it right in the first page. The entire code for handling groups/warbands/scenario parties was re-written from scratch, and this is just an unintended bug from that process. It was not an intentional change.

Fair enough.

Still, if possible i would rather get kill credit for everyone in the sc than reworked kill quests.

Hell, i rather get leechers in orvr afking in warbands and getting loot than the current kill credit in scs.

I need to start being clearer. The quest contribution bug is what's getting addressed, not the kill quests themselves.

You will once again "...get kill credit for purpose of quests for anyone who dies while you have damage contribution on them, and that credit is then shared with your group."

On orvr i understand the point of this, a lot of people may be afking in warbands and still rolling for loot while doing so screws people up.

But in scs and so on, we are suppose to all be playing, if not we are going to lose hard, now we have to "compete" with our own team for the kills just to get anything besides the emblems from the sc, it doesnt promote teamwork, it promotes screwing each other.

I dont know what this change was supposed to fix and i think its more detrimental to the scs than leaving it as it was.

I agree completely with this too.

While the solution for Kill Quest contribution is a good thing for now, there needs to be a fix or something SOMEHOW for other people to get more renown in SC's too because exp only goes so far - You can get exp just by farming in PVE or whatever, but renown is a whole other thing.

The system before the patch was awesome, you fought alongside whatever premade or non-premade people and everyone would get nearly the same amount of Exp AND renown. Even a loss could be great fun and rewarding.

I'll post this one SS of example SC I had, we lost but it was a great fight.

Lovely, problem solved. However did a stroll around in oRvR with smallman after a while. Had a blast with 30 medallions on top in about 2 hours. Now that minimap doesnt show dots anymore its not just ppl running away from distance and can actually ambush rdps too. Such fun!
