Seriously, i would like to see all the abilities you can get through renown ranks cut out, as they bring more imbalance to the game imo.
Yep adding those that affect base stats only could work if you are put off by added complexity of new abilities.

Without LOTD tallies/Weapons and 1.4 gear I'm not even sure TB is mandatory anymore :)

In later tiers a bunch of classes will get acess to crits and stuff like wh, Mara, Bg, blorc etc


The is something you would do well to if nothing else, consider as an option

The renown ability's made somewhat of a uniqueness to some builds not everyone takes the same things they don't bring imbalance as everyone can get them renown was basically worthless except for using pots and gear till they changed the renown system

No they didnt. They were just as unbalanced as everything else mythic did. You took full TB and then either full RD/CW or a mix of both. The others were pretty much worthless in comparison to an iwin vs some classes on a 2m cooldown. The bugged QE2 was also useable but goblin already have a tactic for that.

They bring inbalance because they give abilities outside a class playstyle and avoid their designed weakness. For other classes that can cleanse or have cc immune m2 they werent. It would be lie giving every class access to pounce or magnet. They werent designed to have it. If you want cc or debuff cleansed thats what healers are for.

Really? So tell me Telen what is rdps counters or balances them?

Getting close? Kinda hard to do when they can just kb, kd or self punt

Other rdps? That sounds like bad design to me

Rdps with their massive range and open nature of rvr maps always had an advantage RD and CW made thing a bit more fair

Atleast it had a 2m CD

The abilities were only added due to the much lower ttk with the rr100 gear. Before that guarded healed dps had no issues at all reaching rdps. They have pull pounce and stealth. Only choppa/slayer have no real gap closer but that is due to them being the highest damage/aoe class. When these abiltiies were added it removed the main weakness gap closing. That turned end game into melee train domination particularly by the class that most benefited the slayer.

If you are referring to solo balance without guard or heals. War was never meant to be balanced to that. rdps should always win in 1v1 if there is any chance of having group balance. Also deep down much of war is a game of holding points. bos, flags in scs, keep doors, lord rooms. rdps must kite against a melee groups. If chasing across open ground like the warcamp to warcamp zerg the game became the rdps will have the advantage. Try to actually fight over a point and balance is much fairer.

you would rather have renown give bonuses for pve content as it used to? healers aren't gonna get you out of a kd lol

No Id prefer that we had the old renown speccing that idnt give abilities outside of a class.
Some classes are meant to be weak against cc. slayer/choppa for instance. The flip side was they have the highest damage mechanic and great aoe damage. Do you think that a class should be able to spec out of its designed weakness? WH/WE have stealth. WL/Mara have pounce and pull so have no issues with getting to rdps. This was one of the main reasons endgame was dominated by melee trains particularly slayers. It allowed certain classes to spec out of the weakness they were designed with.

We need unique classes with strengths and weaknesses or you just get the mara swiss army knife with cleanse and cc immunity.

My mains biggest weakness was the long cast times on a healer that needs to kite. To counter that weakness you would need a renown ability to allow cast on move for 15s every 2m.
