Re: Allow non-admins to post in the server status thread

It's fine that non-admins can't post in the server status thread, but that means that the devs HAVE TO keep it updated. Like now, the latest post says the server is online, and the thread title also says that. I'm aware of the banner and all that, but when the thread says "During downtime, everyone is expected to read this topic to find out the relevant information." and there's no information, what are we supposed to do? Especially since the devs are now locking any threads about the current server status.

there is no information because they may not, at the time know what is going on or causing hte issue. They are human and can't instantly know what is wrong. Once they diagnose the problem they report it.

There is nothing to do then but wait.

All I ask that they update the damn thread to change it to say that ****'s whacked. I don't need detailed info, I just need to know that the devs know. And speaking of, something's happening again, and the server status thread still hasn't been updated even since last time.

It is quite obvious though, that the players have a much faster response time on giving an update on the server status.

The devs/gms aren't online 24/7 like some people. So it's not always going to get updated.

It looks like the server just crashed again...so it's Offline...

Then players should be allowed to make threads about the server status.

Look, this is not Blizzard or whatever that has a huge team of people. The is a small Private Server. it's much slower here of course. You obviously know whats going on, and so does everyone else according to you. So why need a community update thread again?

Because just letting the playerbase know goes a long way to control the situation. And since it IS so small, not letting the playerbase talk about it seems pretty unreasonable.
