Re: Dual Wield and Greatweapon balance
Off topic. I just wanted to add something :> while it is true that a magus can reach comparable burst (not to be confused with the word same), it still lacks the utility of sorcerer, thus a magus does not merit a spot in a premade.

while i feel 5% dmg is harldy anything 10% crit dmg boost i feel is too strong espically on blorcs/choppas who will then have 35% crit dmg boost

Re: Dual Wield and Greatweapon balance
When i play a 2H tank, the biggest threat is usually a rdps. Specially BWs (no shield = no Hold the line, so that's 45% disrupt i have no access to). And im taking more guard damage too since i lose block and rely entirely on parry.
As for WL's, i think their biggest threat is also rdps. After all, they can pounce away from melee trains. But they can't pounce away from Word of Pain.
HOWEVER: Ok, block strike through is useless for WL/WP. But i think it can be useful for tanks, considering sometimes you want to apply CC on the enemy tank (superpunt, snare, etc) and attacking them from behind is easier said than done (when fighting good tanks). So i'm torn on this... These are the options i have in my head:
- All 2H classes receive +10% dodge/disrupt instead of block ST.
- 2H tanks keep the +10% block ST. 2H dps receive +10% disrupt (or dodge).
- 2H tanks get both +10% block ST and +10% dodge or parry. 2H dps only get +10% dodge disrupt.

Re: Dual Wield and Greatweapon balance
If eagle's flight buff duration was not to be increased because it would make 2h SM OP tankwise (in the end the discussion died due to EF not stacking with WoDS anyway). I dont see how +10 disrupt and +10% dodge, that do stack with WoDS, would not make it OP.
It seems to me people are just spewing out ideas right now in the hopes their idea gets accepted.

No one suggested giving 2H tanks +10% parry. The discussion is about +10% dodge or disrupt.Rebuke wrote:If eagle's flight buff duration was not to be increased because it would make 2h SM OP tankwise (in the end the discussion died due to EF not stacking with WoDS anyway). The general damage boost is applied to all attacks, also crits that are calculated from the higher base damage.TenTonHammer wrote:noisestorm wrote:vote for 5% dmg boost, or 10% critdmg boost on 2h !

Re: Dual Wield and Greatweapon balance
I agree with Noise on this one. Greatweapons are supposed to give initial burst and "shock" value, whilst losing out in longer duration fights. Giving them a passive dodge/disrupt buff when equipped completely goes against that.
Edit: Perhaps giving Greatweapons a hidden buff that when a target you are attacking has health above 80%, the damage is increased 5%-15%?
