That's not the point. The point is 70-75% of the player base has swarmed to one faction to farm the keeps. Expecting 25-30% of the population to defend against that is retarded. So ultimately you have up to 75% of the players playing RvE to farm RvR gear to then roll into SCs against a team with zero RvR gear.

This update on top of the new RvR ruleset was ill conceived. :/ With the keeps resetting every 15mins Destro are just switching zones to pick up their medallions and moving to the next. This will only stop when they no longer need medallions.

If the keeps stayed the same until taken by the opposing faction then you wouldn't see a player population with 75% Destro when they have all the keeps. Order can't take them so Destro can't take them back. They'd be forced to switch back to Order characters just to actually do something.
Someone with a brain - just how nobody thought about this when you were applauding this crap new RvR System?

I don't talk to any of my friends about this game outside of this game. Why would I? Earning gear within the game is a sense of achievement to many (queue the 'not achieving much IRL?' line) however I play a PvP game for the same reason as everyone else - I enjoy fighting other players. So you want everything given to you so you can brag to little Johnny down the street how you killed DoKMasterSupreme on WAR. An online game he's probably never heard of. If that's your sense of achievement then kudos to you. Now go kick a puppy or something.
I meant to say in my post that I must be one of the few who doesn't play just to gear up, or brag.... or kick puppies? :?

Gearing up is natural progression while fighting can be seen as the end point. Once someone has all of the best gear then just fighting will get stale and boring soon enough. Its the reason games like World of Warcraft HAVE to release expansions. Once too many people deck themselves in the best gear they'll tire of fighting soon enough. A new expansion offers a kind of 'soft reset' on your progression that forces you to gear back up again. Its not just offering new content but also resetting everyones progression to keep them playing for a new target.

This game never had an expansion so rushing to that end point too soon will cause the top players to peel away too soon. and the game withers and dies.

I enjoy gearing up but its a means to an end. The end is seeing the next Destro character dead and me limping away (if I can).

What's even more funny is just a week ago people were crying about Keep Trading, but this is much worse.

Thank you for that useful contribution which addressed absolutely none of the points that have been raised over the day and is in the wrong thread, to boot.

What killed it?

A ORvR system that supports xrealming and zerging, plus the fact that the devs thought it was a good idea to implement new BiS gear for almost all clases, without sitting down and thinking about the cons of the new system, even though it was pointed out to them, on this very forum.

Keep trading was fixed. It is now keep giving for one side only.

I keep wondering when people will figure out with this system you don't need 3 zones. just reopen the same one after 15 minutes. This should lead you to the thought...oooooh that is why there were three zones in the original game. so either side you played on you could win once in awhile.

I still believe all changes should be reverted. Doorhammer with those few random super fun fights was good enough. Now its One Side Doorhammer with ZERO fights.
