you cant join a pug wb and expect total controll and complex maneuvers, neither can you expect it when you lead a pug wb that people will really follow you.

it is like it is, and as other suggested, only in a guild wb with ts you will find what you are searching for. (though i would be careful to offer advice forcefully right on the first day ;)

I had the pleasure to lead a pug after the original leader left in praag yesterday at lunch time. Can waste my time better. Learned my lesson. Next time I just gonna log out or go back to small scale. Not that much of a tryhard, but I can invest my time better and tbh I only get triggered by there behaviour, so let them slack.

My respect to all the pug leaders out there, if I would do this job my risk for strokes and heart attacks would have been quadruppled by now.

Yep, leading pugs can be very frustrating if you are not a very patient person. I applaud Ocara for being the pug leader on destro for such a long time. The thing I noticed though, is that you really need a SiC, or an officer if you will. But preferably you should have one whole organized group, or a group with very known good players (which ofc requires those players to want to form open warbands, which doesn't really happen anymore). This is how Nyky and co. ran the pugs, and I was sometimes with them. We used to fight order warbands when we had 20-40 aao and got flanked from all sides. It was glorious.

Most Pug WBs fail because the leader is too lazy to kick those who don't listen, fix parties or constantly type in /wb chat. How do you expect a wb to succeed when p1 has 5 tanks/1 rdps, p2 has 5 Sorcs and 1 WE, p3 has 6 healers?

Yes, and that's why I think those warbands need at least 2 experienced players, who are of course willing and patient enough. It's easy to say how groups should be formed when you played the game a decent amount, especially in T4 :P And most of the time you won't be able to form those kind of groups. One class is usually lacking, mostly tanks and healers. So knowing the best way to form the warband with what you got is not very easy. But all in all I agree, leaders (if you can even call them that) just don't bother with organizing the parties and speaking in general.

LEADING PUG WARBANDS REQUIRES WAAAGH.

THAT IS IT, NOTHING ELSE, IT ALL COMES FROM WAAAGH.

THE MORE WAAAGH YOU HAVE THEN THE MORE DESIRE YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAD.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT WAAAGH WITHIN YOU THEN YOU WILL ULTIMATELY FAIL.

END OF STORY.
