Highest burst group heal while not under preasures yes. A dok/wp using Transfer Essence/Sigmars Radiance to keep resources in ballance still has much better healing consistancy. But yeah AM/Sham is in a good place atm as far as ballance as long as there are offensive targets to lifetap from. It goes to **** as soon as people use terrain to advantages like keeps and cornors tho.

Being able to attack the keep doors again would solve some issues with both Sham/AM and the need for DoK/WP to channel durning keep seiges tho.

There's a reason loads of people threatened to quit when the .ab ex heal dok/wp changes were introduced, and it's (mostly) because they did not like the idea of having to actually put the work in. It's an incredibly easy class to play, has amazing group utility, coupled with survivability and the best group healing, which makes it a staple in all environments.

Not to say that some DOK/WPs don't shine above all the rest, but to equate having to occasionally go into melee as 'difficult' is nonsensical, imo, when we factor in the inherent strengths/ease of rotation the class has.

Putting work in? The .ab ex DoK was about getting guarded and then spamming one button which was almost impossible to defend (20% strikethrough) and was unaffected by hd. With proc meta (rip) you could even deal a great amount of dmg, healing for half a million (in longer scs) by spamming one button, without cd or getting blocked, parried, tanking 3 dps+.
So we went from a healer that used hots, grp heal, st heal, cleanse etc. to one that spammed a grp heal button for 35ap with no cd and no necessity of picking the right target. Actually putting work in?

I think the problem was the change in playstyle, from completely defensive to offensive. There are different personalities out there, people that like to be passive and not aggressive. Those people just lost 50% of their armor for nothing gained (depends on the version of .ab ex we are talking about). They had to play differently if they wanted to use the full potential, differently in a way they were not used to or didnt like at all.

The best grp heal belongs to sham/am now btw. Try it out, you will be amazed.

Naturally I refer not to the overperforming Sacrifice melee healer tree, but the Dark Rites tree when, even before having tested the changes which had not been cemented*** (important point), various people took to the forums in arms to complain. That is indicative of people not wanting their toys to be taken away from them.

Yet to try the shaman thing.

You can bind every class rotation to 12345, only BG and IB much harder, so your sarcasm aprreciated, but not needed.

The first iteration of .ab ex WP definitely was overboard on the melee healing, but the third one around was a good medium. I couldn't just spam one button because I'd run out of AP quickly (doubly so because of sorcs and shamans). Instead, I made use of my casted heals and newfound willpower buff. By keeping up Pious Restoration and Healing Hand along with my melee heals, I didn't immediately run myself dry of either resource pool.

Shaman is easier to play than zealot, i can kite few melees and some rdps and still heal self and target, but if i get jumped on by two melees on zealot forget about it

Ask Perspective/Viny for tips on playing defensively as zealot, as he puts some defensive chosen/bgs to shame.
