For the time being, try making a new account (don't mess with changing password through the forum, and don't use special characters when you make your password). Activate the account and play. Once your main is working, go back to that one.

Ok but..When this problem first happened I never changed my password so I waited 2 days and still could not log in. Then , I updated password on forums ( since it was already more than a "hour" ) and still no improvement. This bug sucks :-(

Hi, having the same issue, been waiting since the 16th for the server to update its login/password information, after i reset my password.

So let's say you had this problem and changed your password on the forum before you saw this post, DON'T WORRY. The password for the forum and login for launcher are the same. If you did change your password it takes about 24hours or so before it becomes active on the game launcher. Like the Moderator said, if you really want to play, create a new account and play until your old one works again. I did this, created a tank and made him a butcher, found some salamanders and farmed armor mats like crazy in T1.

if this is your problem, go to the "Profile" section in the forum and change your password there. I had same issue as you and took this route, only took about a day for it to work again. Good luck
