The pet is quite an unenjoyable feature as of right now. However I do know I am not very proficient at handling the additional mechanic with the pet & its pathing is pretty bonkers. Welcome to MMO pet classes xD
I'm looking forward to some pet melee time spent when I reach the Squigbeast M1 ability. I know its not common but it sounds super fun!

Thanks Tosh! Haven't done a new character in quite a while and usually twink them out a bit much when I do so this will be a change of pace for sure. I did get to run the new T1 dungeon they made. That place was pretty cool and more advanced than I was expecting, lots of fun.

We're on day 4 of Zero to Hero. Mix of scenarios & if/when those turn sour we'll likely need to venture out into some PUG 'bands to try to progress.

Day 5 of the Hero journey continues. This weekend I'll be doing my best to get into as much weekend event SCs as I can handle. Bonus 50% xp/rr makes weekends the ideal time to progress through some levels quicker while maintaining the RR.

A player after my own heart haha - Solo/Smallscale is a struggle most days even for the best of us although it is my favorite way to play the game. I would like to ride out as much of the weekend SC as possible as should newer players trying to get a character to end game. However I love the idea of trying to small on a lower level character - we'll def get some of that action in!
For those who do not know yet every weekend a SC is picked from the list and is the "event" SC from Fri-Sun. They have some tiered rewards that mirror the week long RvR rewards based around usually simple tasks such as play 10x of the SC, win x amount games, get x amount of kills etc.
The entire time that particular SC will give +50% XP and RR just for playing it. So its a great way to knock out some levels and RR on the weekends at a faster pace. Now ofc this is popular and encourages "premade" groups.


For the new players, do not be afraid to join /5 SC groups! Especially in the midtier where rank/gear checks aren't so much of a thing. The purpose to doing this is to create a 2/2/2 tank/healer/dps group comp and work together to get the kills or wins needed. This is seen every weekend in T4 SCs as well. Get out there and join some of these groups! If you join up and aren't sure of your role in a "premade" ask in group chat. The majority of players will be more than happy to fill you in on strats, mechanics, SC map objectives, etc. They would rather inform you than have you go in blind or PUG queueing and not even participating in the group/team play aspect.
Especially in the midtier this can be a way to really juice up some wins, XP, RR. When you get paired against other teams doing the same it creates a fun, sometimes frustrating, but almost always rewarding gameplay.
Occasionally in T4 you may do this and your /5 "premade" may run into a full BiS, in coms, veteran guild group and they just stomp everything in their path. It happens. But your odds of having a good match is much higher if you're joining other like minded players.

On a side note the discordant skirmish SCs are SOLO queue only. They do not receive the weekend bonus but its a great way to try and queue up and put some distance on those sweaty premades. DC SCs are not utilized nearly enough. Que up, when they do pop, they are generally quite fun!
