Can I have an absorb proc on my Magus sets ?

I do understand I'm not a pro Magus like P2P, Carlos, Acheron, Telen, krxxxx, Lucuooooooh, Zarbix, think tank, and all the other real pros playing in TuP/NRM (calling me a badie, noob, yousuxbadlyandshoulduninstall) all toons to nearly perfection but I'll like to know what to do with

a)
"On Being Hit: 10% chance to reduce build times by half a second for 10 seconds "
Daemonology insta cast and changing 1s cast with a 1.2s gcd (tornado and warpdfire channeled)
Havoc supposed to stay at range to avoid being hit

b)
Dominator set (supposed to be the def set for melee rift/aoe in deftard mode)
"On Being Hit: 10% chance to detaunt target"
Magus AA is melee

c)
Mercenary set (supposed to be a def set)
" +1 Path of Havoc Abilities"
see point a) for Havoc explanation

d)
Conq set (supposed to be a not def set)
"On Hit : 25% chance to steal 100 Toughness from your target for 10 seconds"

I repeat.
I don't mind at all to have an absorb proc on my sets, do it.

The topic is about an absorb proc, which virtually never procs in a fight, e.g. every 33th hit.
Dying is no option.
