Full renown parry is only 18% chance to parry IIRC. BO doesnt have a parry self buff like SM, so they kinda doomed to have low avoidance in 2h does.

10% parry strikethrough is only for 2h wp, yeah.

...why only WP? Why does this make any sense? And then we wonder why people say stuff like "Order bias" lol. Clearly this is a tiny change that doesn't really effect much but still...why only one class?

I meant more in regards to why only give WP 2H's the parry strikethrough and not, say, also tank 2H's or even MDPS(although I don't think WL are hurting for buffs...lol).

Parry strikethrough, for sure. It's in some relatively recent patch notes, I think.

You really need to play the classes lol... I say the same thing to the devs but usually they just warn me lol. WP has the same parry tactic. Sure, DoK gets parry for DW, WP has a 10% parry buff.... Your argument will then shift to the fact that the DoK has a 10% parry debuf ability right? But what no one ever realizes is that the debuff has no parry strikethrough, and anytime you are in a situation that you'd want to parry debuff someone it generally gets parried anyway...

So for renown - DoK/WP = same parry
Tactics - both have the same tactic
DW bonus is cancelled out by the WP ability which can actually be put on any defensive target they choose.

But definitely talk about that instead of their initiative debuf, their str buff being more than the maximum achieved via pot, and overall 10% parry strike through making them really not need to worry about it much with gear.

So yeah, there goes that entire argument. What else do yah got?

IMO all tanks should have the ability to DW... and any "requires greatweapon" abilities should ALSO include "requires greatweapon OR DW"

Promotes FUN aesthetic play... and also more CHOICE. You want to bypass block and punt tanks better? slot a 2H... You want more defensive? slot DW.

Chosen USED to be able to DW on live. Its very possible... (I think)

Well quite frankly... I would consider Convert one of the "leading experts" on Melee WP and Melee DOK. Az and he used to talk ALL THE TIME about those two classes (if you recall Az was on a "make Melee healers great" campaign and Convert was his "resource" he would discuss ideas with ETC).

I dont know anyone who has played both melee WP and melee DOK longer than Convert has... if there was someone, they would likely tell you the same things.
