1v1, 1vX, small scale, heal, dps.. How do they compare?

Shammy > AM simply because of auto detaunt and move speed tatics

In the grand scheme of things their pretty equal, AM is better dps and Shammy is a better healer

i thort the am got way better healing tactics i know on live AM low hp heals were massive. i think there was talk on trying to even these two up. shammy dps is more but the AM can cleans the shammy dots i think it was 2 things maybe there was a third one can not remember when we tested it on live it was cleans and the 25%healing of DD tactic if the am dropped this the shammy would :| it no contest in a 1v1 but so long ago there has probably been some change in the last days of war

dam good heals to i think of them as a combines of dok and zelot shammy get good single target heals and good group ones too. slot the right tactic and u can spam heal allday long. but need more lvl cap for the shammy to get it full potential

They both get the low-hp heal tactic, and heal crit tactic. Shaman is much more mobile obviously, and has another insta heal in Do Sumfin' Useful, so it kites much better. However with funnel essence the AM burst heal is nothing to sneeze at; you just gotta stand there and use, Walk Between Worlds, liberally. Dps i'm not sure, I played AM on live, but I didn't bother with dps. One thing that stands out is that in terms of heal debuffs, Scatter the Winds is much better than Gork's Barbs. A 30 second cooldown for a cleans-able spec ability that doesn't even do DoT damage.

Pretty close mirror-pair with a sub-par mechanic. At least it isn't the BO/SM mechanic, what a bloody disgrace that is.

this doesnt seem to be working ive test it out. on a duel vs another shaman and they could not take off my buffs

The Shaman gets auto detaunt, Runaway, and Gork sez stop. There really isn't a comparison.

they are both pretty equal with some advantages to shamans due better survavibility.

Shamans got 1 extra proactive hot that can be removed by ridicules kotbs shatter while AMs got pretty good 'stay-on-one-spot' reactive channel heal.

AMs got extra tactic that return ap based on crit heals which make them much more ap independent and decent aoe detaunt that provide non setback factor. Shaman got muuuch better racial tactics /actually the best among all classes/ that made them much better kittiers

shaman healing m4 is much better than AMs healing one.

dps wise shamans are more bursty while AMs got better sustain dmg. AM's heal debuff dot is big advantage for the AM
and finnaly Shamans looks much better, their skills' animations and names are quite hilarious while AMs just looks elvish...

the problem for the both classes is that they dont have as good synergy as rest of the healers do and that why they fall back compare dok/wp and zealot/rp combos.
