Re-using character names

Hey there, I hope this topic belongs in the right category.

I currently wish to re-use one of my order character names for a destruction character, however the game insists that the character name is unavailable, despite having already deleted the original character. I've been told on the Discord server that character names are now "locked" until server restarts, can someone confirm if this is how it works? If that's the case, I'll simply wait till the next server restart to create the character.

I personally can delete and create a character with the same name right after deleting it...
