I have looked through much of the forums and have found some information on assist and broadcasting macros which seem possible and I have utilized some assist macros (via addons).
I am curious if it would be at all possible to get targeting possible via macros? Such as /target <name>
I know we can use keybinds and assign things such as target self, target group member # which can be useful.
I am was trying to utilize the macro system to /target <player> as a DPs DoK to ensure regardless of placement in group (specifically when we que into a scenario and end up in different group placement) I would be able to target without issue for off healing. When running with the same people on a regular basis and for some classes, healers and tanks specifically this could be a strong tool to help improve their role and game play.
I understand this may not be a major issue or top priority just something I am wonder if it would be possible or even considered.
Thanks

Re: Targeting and the possibilities of macros
You can always change group so you are together, macros allowing to target specific names would be too strong in PvP imo

Re: Targeting and the possibilities of macros
/target [name] was deactivated on RoR.
It was working on WAR however.

Re: Targeting and the possibilities of macros
I knew they worked on live WAR I used them for this exact purpose when healing in premade as melee DoK. I did not know however that RoR intentionally disabled them. If used offensively they could provide some slight advantage I suppose in order to make sure you can target key players (WB leaders / frequent WB healers / etc) in which case why not just remove the function to target other faction players via /target? Ole' well I doubt it'll change, thanks for the heads up.

Re: Targeting and the possibilities of macros
Coz you need those command to target nearest, next etz I belive.
But tbh, I think it mathers very little if you are able to target players via name or not. Specific players are usually possitioned in the same place all the time. Once you learn peoples habits you're almoast always gonna find were they possitioned.
