Ranged Power?

Hi!
I'm reading Londo's topic about Stats viewtopic.php?f=11&t=965

But I didn't see any mention of ranged power, magic or melee(?) power.
So I wanted to ask here: how ranged power affect DPS? or stats in general?

It has the same value as the main stat just doesnt count towards statcap and doesnt count against the avoidance defence stat.
