Best Pvp class?

Just wondering what is the best Pvp class to play in terms of survivability and damage. Used to like the look of WE in terms of soloing. any advice ?

Whew, that is a really hard question. ANY answer than anyone gives you will be subjective. If you want to find the answer yourself you'll need to spend time doing mathematical analysis for the utility maximization of comparative damage relative to other classes and comparative survivability relative to other classes.

for solo marauder can dish out nice dmg while still being able to withstand some hits
I saw some IBs and BG running solo with their HP regen ability
SW and SH thanks to being rdps with tools to avoid confrontation in melee range
daemonology magus was very sweet solo option back there

This is realm vs realm game. It includes fighting in grp / grps/ wb

It isnt really solo friendly. Every corner is a threat there might be warband or grp of players comming.

In grp it all depends on your and your grp playstyle and setup and also it depends on what enemies you would face etc.

Its really hard to pinpoint one class that is best no matter what. I would say its pretty much impossible

It really depends on what you want for a play style. I played since Beta and at the time a lot of people use to tell me how the SH wasn't the best class and I was on the PvP server while soloing a lot of people would try to gank me but I ended up leaving their body on the road. If I was going to gank someone I would hide in the bushes and pick them off once they ran past me. I almost took out the highest ranking WH on my server with crappy gear till the shaman that was healing me decided to run away because he told me that there was no way we could kill him even though I got him down to 10% life.
I mostly only played Destro' BO, Choppa, Chosen, Marauder, Shaman, SH and out of all the classes the SH was the one that stuck. I was always PvPing and a good chunk of the time I was going at it solo' I liked the thrill of having the odds against me and had a tendency to take on more then I could chew to come out victories.
For my BO I mainly used a two handed weapon not because I had an awesome weapon but because I liked what it looked like and had no issues taking on people solo.
It's been some time since I played and haven't played on this server yet so I'm not positive what to tell you other then go with the class you feel comfortable with.
I proved people wrong countless times with my SH when they would tell me you needed the best equipment in order to be a good pvper.
Sorry if this doesn't help at all but I'm sure someone else will answer this question better.

But in only survivability purpose -they are abse to do considering normal amount of damage in DEF-tard builds.

I would definitely swap SW for shaman in the range category. 2 KD, 2 snares, self-punt, M1, M2 and M3 among the best in game for solo, very high armor thanks to assault stance. It's a winner.
