why you Devs have so big problems with it?
why you could not give ppl some rewards for playing hours
1 medalion from lock, is it so much? is it so hard to make?
day after day ppl start being more and more frustrated, and that is what you want?

If giving cool edgy replies made you right i would be always right mate, sadly is not the case.wargrimnir wrote:It's been a pleasure to disappoint you, yet again.
See you in the next topic where you have to post the same again till you stop being so stubborn about it and accept that if every other mmo followed the path of stopping being a grindfest was for a reason, a good one, not because they caved in and gave "free stuff" to ther "entitled whiny freeloaders".
Re: What contributes a loot bag in RVR?
I had a pm with Torque and he explained his reasoning for the way it is handled. Even as I dont like it even a bit more, I can understand the reasoning and I am good for now.Grobbok wrote:"conqueror medlaions" topic was just closed

If you want details, ask Torque. As it was a pm I consider it private.

Re: What contributes a loot bag in RVR?
It's the same couple of accounts posting the same thing in very similar threads, over and over. You don't want to grind. You want more loot. You want more stuff for less effort.
It's not grind if you enjoy playing the game. It's grind if you determine the only reason you play the game is to get the loot at the end. If that's the case, then go elsewhere. Things are easier there, you get loot fast. Then you can stop playing because you've won. Congrats.

Ok, I will put my part of the conversation in it. To keep it short, I dont care for the actual amount of meds I got, i only say every luck-based system is unfairwargrimnir wrote:It's the same couple of accounts posting the same thing in very similar threads, over and over. And even as I wont press the matter on, as I can see Torques reasoning, I want to be completely clear about the fact, that a luck based system is unfair and will stay unfair.

You are in great errorwargrimnir wrote:. It's grind if you determine the only reason you play the game is to get the loot at the end.
you completely misunderstand situation
this system is not fair, it is only BIG lucky circus, where lucky one have reward, and other who are on rvr for hours got nothing
if you think it is fair you are wrong
the goal is to have equal gear as other, as enemy to fight them on the same level

If this is what you repeat yourself, well no wonder, is not a couple, only in this thread you have easily 10+ different people telling you the same, there is other threads about it, if you want to be the one saying "its just the haters man!" be my guest but its not that.wargrimnir wrote:It's the same couple of accounts posting the same thing in very similar threads, over and over. Yeah lets flip that argument, if the enjoyment of the game is not the loot, why is the loot behind such an amount of tokens? You are at the same time arguing that no one cares about the gear but put the gear behind a lengthy grind because you believe that players need a carrot to stay playing. You want to have the cake and eat it too with this argument.wargrimnir wrote:It's not grind if you enjoy playing the game. A grind is anything that takes a lengthy amount of time doing the same to get it, specially when there is an extreme rng element to it.
Re: What contributes a loot bag in RVR?
Sooooo. How can the contribution change to be more fair across all classes?
Is there any way to calculate damage mitigation from guard? similar to how heals are calculated? I ask because if kills and kill stealing is the barometer for contribution out weighing all other contribution its kinda busted. DPS is hard enough in a high ping situation. Getting a killing blow is next to impossible for myself being a Black Orc tank.
That said, as a small suggestion. Maybe kills or kb's isn't the fairest system for contribution. Even in the dps spectrum. Perhaps mixing it up now and again with a random system. A system that jumps between different systems allowing for all classes to have equal contribution per zone take over.
Example; One system is kills/kb's, another is heals, another is lord damage, and another is damage mitigation defense, the list can go as long as you want to take it. This way all classes can stay as they are are and randomly receive contribution without pointing fingers at DPS all the time. Seem as it is people just want to dps and we all know that isn't everything in this game yet we all have to receive equal contribution.
My two cents

Re: What contributes a loot bag in RVR?
I think someone already listed all the different ways to boost your zone contribution earlier in the thread which covers all the classes different roles. If anything I would say the hardest class to obtain high levels of contribution would be anyone in a pure healer spec since I rarely see any Zealots coming first or even top 10. As a BO tank, you need to put in a lot of work to get that top spot but I have managed to do so twice so far (both times managed to get me two golds and even a purple on one occasion where I was 4th in Contribution).Grolar wrote:Sooooo.
