a) Wouldn't it possible to permit going to the opposite faction page only if the player count in the current active zone is lower? The idea being to get some form of balancing of numbers rather than going for the easy mode empty keep farming.

b) Putting, for example, a 72 hour timer on switching back and forth between factions. (Sure you could make another account, but many ppl have already invested a lot of time on toons.)

Can someone against xrealming tell me there argument as to why it's bad, specifically how it is negatively effecting you?

Are you against xrealming to underdog side as well? And if so why?

I know everyone can't be In some hardcore 6man or warband all the time or at all, but certainly even the lowest common denominator pug is benefiting from aao more than swapping to blob with the zerg, and there is even loser bags which are extremely generous relative to the winner bags. Not to mention contribution system hammering you for swapping late.

Why? So people like Penril who want to have 1 of every single class are instantly banned? So you are literally forced to either Roam with the zerg against zero enemies, SC, play an alt, or log-out? How would a realm lockout of any type benefit gameplay?

Zone contribution fixed 95% of the "worst" xrealming issues. Besides the fact, no one(besides the Devs) can actually comment on how "bad" Xrealming really is. This is an international server. A Wb leaving 1 side, and a WB entering the other is not proof of anything, other than X amount of people left the zone, and X others entered it. As I write this, we have 415 people on t2-t4. If you see 4 WBs on each side, that is less than half the total players that COULD enter the zone. Players will come and go as RL dictates. If 2 WBs leave 1 side, and 3 WBs enter the other side, that still is no evidence of Xrealming, cause we have 415 potential players online... Oh, and what is noon for me, is 8-9pm or later for others. NA waking up and EU going to sleep is not Xrealming...

In all my experience, I have only seen a couple instances of what I considered "seriously bad Xreamling". And that was back in the day of Super Lords, where 1 group that I wont name would organize a keep attack on one side, then Xrealm to go defend that keep. But even then, they swapped to the side with AAO, so there was an argument that they just wanted a fight. My panties got in a bunch over them spamming /t4 chat and region organizing the attack before they left... But this was a long time ago.

Also, use the Search Function. This has been discussed hundreds of times, and not a single thought, idea, or plan here is in any way original.

But really I can go on forever, but it will just boil down to something that needs client control, and probably significant dev time for what would amount to an experiment based on theories alone.

I don't think you can revive realm pride, game has become too individualistic and about grinding/character progression both gear and skill wise. Even ignoring that, it would just be about guild pride, realm wouldn't matter. Guilds would cross realm to chase AAO feeding off the pug players like renown vampires.

So nothing to be done currently. Lets back to it when it will be possible. Also, we can do a lot currently, question is why you think control is required.

Applying bonus xp/rr aint gonna restore guild pride nor The x realm. . What if ur maxed out, eventually same thing starts over again. .

Question about solving x realm is not that hard make a currency for guilds and send by mail. . Everyone makes /gives exp to a guild. . If they bring 150k xp u get 1 medal wich u can buy cosmetic gears with wich cost 25 for example a piece.. easy to implement and gives alot of People wanting to be in their guild. . And keep fighting for it .. make it last 60 days so u needa keep getting it.. u have People in ya guild that stays The ones that x realm takes ALOT longer to get it people that dont get it faster.

Yes u still have x realmings but they do it for the fight not boredom.
