Some of the developers are of the mindset that there needs to be a sense of grind / progression to keep people interested, as this is an MMO. I don't hold a strong viewpoint either way on this issue, so you'd be best reaching out to them. There was another topic on this recently, was there not?

That's a shame that they think that way... what they don't realize though is people get burned out quickly on grind.

Look at it this way, when we got level 24 out... people had to level up all their characters as fast as possible and then gear them up to be competitive. Then 3 days later level 26 comes out and we had to again grind for gear and levels on our characters. Then we had to grind for scenario weapons... then scavenging/talisman making/salvaging. I'm pretty burned out already with all this grind in this project.

I think the game would be great if every character was max level, renown and gear right at char creation. But i play for the fights itself, and i like the complexity of the classes. I think a big portion of the player base is mindlessly grinding the next ding. It's been part of MMO design for so long people don't know what to do without it.

It's nice how we can RvR inside the forums too!!

People forget that we all here are players that love the game nad just want to have a great time.

I thought the dev team was mostly European... I didn't realize you had so many Koreans in the group
Have you considered playing a Black Orc Azarael? It could help with the rumors of bias.
On the side, there was definitively a bias in favor of most Order careers in the old Mythic/EA game... anyone doubting it should google "why Warhammer failed"... There was practical reasons why initially Mythic favored slightly the Order side: It was by far the less popular and weakest faction at launch, since the RvR players coming from DAoC or other PvP-centric games favored Destro and were better organized and trained. Unfortunately, power players did not take that long to realize the bias and rerolled on Order, thus getting numbers, skill, organization and the stronger archetypes all in one faction.
There is only so much the RoR team can do to correct this intrinsic inbalance, and Mythic themselves struggled to adjust it.
Personally, I think this is about as balanced as I have seen Warhammer, and I do not believe for one second in an order bias on the dev team.
On the plus side, the entertainment value of these forums is tremendous

I know I'm a bit late on the voices of support here, but I think it was a good decision made for altruistic reasons. The keep farming felt.... well, cheap.

It's getting old. Destro has a LOT of good classes and abilities. One side is not so dominate that you cannot compete. I played on destro side a lot last night, wanna know what I found?

A lot of idiots, and a lot of elitests that won't group up.

It's the same on order thought. Bad players standing in bad spots getting hit by the train or trying to be solo artests

Destro has always had more population even on live because they "look cooler." They're big orcs in big armor, and crazy deathly chaos chosens and mutating marauders.

On Order you got plain looking Dwarfs, Humans and a even gayer looking version of Elfs.

Pretty much, plus I like the classes more. Isn't that why you play any game or class? Because you like it?
