I do not have White Lion myself, so I will speak only about Squigs.

Squigs go through the walls.
Squigs can hide in the walls, attacking or shooting. Very fun for the Order.
Squigs can pursue unlimited range. They could not in original.
Squigs hit like trucks and can easily kill squishy Order guy. Fortunately I do not play squishies, felt quite bad for Bright Wizards/Witch Hunters who were farmed 100->0 in one flee button.
Squigs hp is similar to that of badly equipped Destro player.

Some people use it because the game allows it, "it's skill, l2p noob". Some people use it because they do not know how does it work. Some people do not use it.

I am waiting for whine & tears after the fix.

The permanent target lock in a scenario was annoying as hell. My little Rank 5 DoK got no peace, as the moment I respawned/was rezzed that lion was on me, and I couldn't outheal the lions dps on me *and* heal other people for very long. I realize it wasn't the fault of the WL, though, even if it was extremely frustrating.

Let me start by saying the only difference between ROR and mythic server is squigs and other pets can pursue unlimited range.
Squigs do not hit "like trucks", mayb what u saw was a fresh char with starter armor being attacked by a level 10 squig ? and even then you might want to try attacking the squig instead of fleeing, spamming your only damaging skill at level 1 and you will be able to kill a level 10 squig in rvr/sc with bolster. Squigs may have similar hp's to badly equipped destro but they die a hell of a lot easier, it takes 2 secs to kill a squig with my kotbs and the damage is easily healed thru with a single hot.
Squig herders should use squigs, it would be silly not to buff your crit by 5%.

I have an SH (Klatschmawech) and i use my Squig but mostly his stance is passive so it attacks nobody i need my squig for the buff. Sometimes i dont use any squig some order maybe will remember me.
In SC`s i saw a few WL and SH standing in savezone and let attack the pets but most will enter the warzone and will play fair and yes they use the pet to attack.

Until theres some pathing and auto attacks dont ignore los pets are going to be a pain. They did hit hard in t1 right now without talismans, renown speccing or potions their hits seem alot harder.

Thanks for the tip. I will try using a passive button because sometimes I don't want squig attacking. I remember that passive wasn't working when I first started the SH but I can try it again. It would be gimping yourself to fight without the squig and there is some honor in that. If passive works, I may try it to give myself an extra challenge. I can have the buff but not the extra DPS if the pet attacks. However, if a WH pops on me, they will be getting pet treatment.

I feel that way as well. They weren't as popular in T4 anyway. But when you did finally see someone who was expert at the engie, magus or SH, it was like Mozart. Engie's were quite popular in zergs for the keg-heal purple rain.

it is curently impossible for us to have nonplayers movement checks since the server cant see the world

same with auto attack the server does then so it doesn't know if the enemy is in los or not
there might be some function that the server asks the client if he can see the other dude but we didnt found that one yet

Same for me, even with passive it would still attack the target the herder attacks. I have noticed squigs attack the target you chose when u hit the red icon with the sword on the pet bar.

They did, i can remember well how some wl's would just send there lion in to attack with the buff that gave the lion a snare, kite until you had low hp's before going in to finish off.
