Sadly the Dev's have been tasked with an impossible tasks. Not only bringing balance to the game but bringing happiness to the player-base. I appreciate everything they have done to bring back the game and the hours they have put into working on this project. People over look the hours of free time the Dev's have put into this project and how much the community has judged them. It's hard not to notice a re-occurring theme here and seeing the state of the game as it is. It reminds me a lot of when WAR was live, population drops, people losing interest, and lower tiers become barren.
There's a lot of issues with the current state of the game. The current RvR system is lack luster, Keep lords taking 20-30 minutes to kill, Battlefield Objectives taking 5 minutes to take. Everything has to do with time and the amount of time players want to invest into the game, I'm not saying there shouldn't be a grind for gear because there should be something players should have to work for. I would suggest lowering BO times and Lowering the Keep Lords over all HP. One zone shouldn't take 3-4 hours to take. As for the Zerg issue people are complaining about there is no real way around it, people are looking for easy loot and people simply like to win
Small changes that can be made:
1) Allow Medallions to drop in Scenario's
2) Increase Medallions in Loot Bags
*Gold Bag (20)
*Purple Bag (15)
*Blue Bag (10)
*Green Bag (5)
*White Bag (2)
3) Allow Officer Medallion Conversion to Conqueror
4) Double XP for Mid Tier
5) Allow the losing Realm to have access to the main Keep doors once attacked (Current system makes it hard to defend a keep when outnumbered and almost impossible to get inside.)
6) Reward the losing side with Officer medallions for taking BO's
etc....

There hasn't been any new content added to the game for quite some time now. It's 1 year since T4 was introduced. There's only so many times you can take the same zones over and over.
Conq is a band aid fix while the try to get fortresses and city sieges working.

I lost my motivation when I found out that even though I was helping locking a zone, doing everything the 'right way', I didnt get rewarded for it. I once tried spending 7 hours in kv! Mean while, seeing all the 6 man groups farming meds like crazy, just made me angry like a little school girl. Even though I tried ignoring it and just having a good time, I totally lost my motivation. This is a large component of it. It shows the lack of good game play and the real issue behind the carrot driven game to little progreess vs to much progress. Its a balancing act.. players always go to the easiest fasted path for the reward. It maybe time for the 24 hour lock out on xrelem..

So oops, most smallscale people either roll better classes or simply Quit; and then people start wondering "where have all the players gone".

Wow one of the Best Things ive read! I tried alrdy to say that in Another thread. Small scale is rly cool But If you dont play meta setup you dont win a **** against a meta setup doesent matter how good you are! Only Chance here If The Enemy is rly Bad

The orvr perma Rolf stomp and stealing and what ever is 100% no fun! You are 100% right in my eyes!
But i still think players kill the biggest Part of fun by hisself

Have you ever tried running those classes consistently 6v6 or you just toss it arround as a fact.
The best premades on this server pretty much won with wathever setup they used (enigma proved this)
Ofc it is true to some extent but a well composed setup that is not flavour of the month may be suprisingly effective imo (randomp comps ofc dont work)

Zerg was is and will be worst thing in this game. I hated when destro zerg (so long ago
) and I hate when order zerg now.
How to survive then?
1. Lower your time playing FoR, it is easy if only you...
2. Forget about winning bags. You don't need it to play this game. Ruin, mercenary and annihilator are good enough.

What iam mean is a meta setup against a non meta setup where both Teams have even skill wins much more easy. Personally I'd prefer to have shorter BO timers (3-4 minutes max), faster Lord kills and much faster zone locks after keep is lost.
At the same time I've noticed that many people dislike the grind. The question is: do you have fun while playing the game? If not, you will not have fun even with your new gear set.

The difference is one of these things has an abundance of PvP, groups, and warbands, while the other is mostly a unorganised ghost town with people not really giving 2 craps about groups/forming wbs/etc. Aka impossible to enjoy, unless with friends (I don't know many people rerolling these days).
