I don't know what kind of luck you are referring too, if you create a supportive group environment where your dps players can perform to their best with minimal drawbacks and use their abilities and rotations to maximize the chance of getting kills and DBs then you will see an increase in accumulation.

Furthermore, as has been pointed out in other threads, prioritizing classes who need particular currency for sets to increase there respective output (dps>healers>tanks) leads to better performing groups, a higher chance of dbs and thus further increase in accumulation. This is why smaller groups in general acquire gear faster, they are organised, targeted and prioritize.

All true
However I run as a Tank in a very competetive 6 man and we make loads of kills. I have done poorly on the rolls for them btw but thats life.

compair our grp to a solo player like Nicelook or Teefs who do not have to share between 6 and we end up with the already geared, farming medalians and creating an even larger gap.

We are always promoting the effectiveness of good grp play and its is true however we are rewarding solo play 6x more.

Should I run solo on my 2h knight in lakes and hope for a DB to get my gear? if so thats a massive dissadvantage to tanks or healers. Maybe have 2x medals drop for a full party to balance or we may see much more people running solo taking away the very core of what the game is about.

You can try run solo in a dps 2hnd knight build, you have some pretty neat escape tools, nothing as good as a dps class though. You have to remember, Teefz and Nicelook and solo'ers in general, pray on other solo'ers and duos and lower standard players to get easy medalions, the solution, build better groups.

Do they trouble groups, like yours and mine, nope, in their 6 man, sure because they play range dps in RvR but others like us could do the same in our small groups, pass on everything to one player, play one class, be high renown rank already and have a bucket load of play time.

Again, how would you change the contribution so tanks and healers would have an increased chance while solo? Is this not further pushing the game into solo supportive?

I can understand the gear grind mindset from a buisness perspective of a subscription based MMO. I can however don't understand having so many ballancing factors (renown, gear, talismans, potions etz) in a PVP game. If you meet the RR requirement of the gear I don't see any point why they shouldn't be able use the appropiate gear for their tier due to RNG. All these factors makes the game harder to collect feedback and ballancing aswell. I would probobly turn RR into a season thing, Were it gets reduced to RR 0 every couple of months and having the gear be bought from vendors for Gold once you meet the requirement for it. This way you would have a much more even playingfield across the board as moast would be around simular gear and rr level. It would moast likly eliminate any kinda killstealing exploit in the game aswell as dealing with crossrealming as that is almoast entirly to do with getting free loot.
The problem is what you do with PVE in that kinda system tho.

Nice idea, but your suggestion benefits the casual player alot. I can tell ya, if all my hours of play get abolished every once in a while, just to keep the casual players happy, i'm sure it will make many players turn casual and we lose population, and population is what we need most.

I dislike the current system but give away model would destroy the point of playing. One thing you have to remember is that the amount of threads on the subject show that there is a strong whisk for people to get the gear and that they are prepared to put some work in to get it.
That said the big issue that most threads refer to is RNG and the lack of tanks and healers being able to control their own destiny when it comes to the "end game" gear.
I would and have suggested going from killing blow mechanism to kill quests where utility (healing, stunn...) are rewarded.
